Question about Dryers
THIS IS ONE OF THREE THINGS. YOUR ELEMENT COULD BE BAD, OR ONE OF THE TWO THERMAL CUTOFFS IS BAD, OR ONE SIDE OF YOUR 220 BREAKER HAS TRIPPED. I WOULD CHECK YOUR BREAKER FIRST(FREE), THEN CHECK YOUR THERMAL CUTOFFS BEHIND REAR PANEL. THEY COME AS A SET FOR ABOUT 25.00. IF YOUR ELEMENT IS BAD THEY RUN ABOUT 80.00 BUCKS. IF YOU HAVE A MULTIMETER PUT IT ON RX1 AND CHECK THE RESISTENCE. THE THERMALS WILL OHM OUT INFINITY(0) YOUR ELEMENT WILL READ ABOUT 10 TO 12 OHMS. GOOD LUCK! RATE ME IF I AM CORRECT!
