Question about Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

I have 3 JBS air conditioners. (Model HRS35PCM-1) Remotes are interchangeable and operate on two only. Faulty air conditioner will not turn on. Have checked outside switch - is in the 'on' position. Is it possible that the remote sensor receiver unit is faulty? If so, how do I detect? Any assistance you offer is appreciated.

Units are three years old. Unit only operates by manual setting and no reset button. Breaker box has not tripped and electricity to unit is OK as far as I can assess. Digital read-out available on remote from two other units but no read-out on faulty unit...hence I'm wondering if remote sensor is faulty. Thanks for your previous reply. Hope this gives you more info.

How do I program a universal remote to my haier air condioner I lost my original remote

Most universal remotes won't have a code for an air conditioner. You'll need one that is made to work with A/C systems. See: or for remotes that will work with the HWR10XC6 and some other Haier air conditioners.

I hope this helps. Please add a comment with the model and manufacturer of the universal remote you have. I'll try to confirm the available codes and how to program the unit.

Mt timer butoon is stuck on timer so unit wont work

All LG room air conditioners should be able to be operated without using the remote, by just using the controls on the unit. Replacement remotes are available from an LG service provider.

I have the J.B.S air-conditioner . Can you tell me how to use it in winter for heating

you could install electric heating coils. to change over to a heat pump you would need to change the controls and install a reversing valve at the evaporator.

If the remotes work on other like units but not on that one, it probably has a bad control board.

Kelvinator Split System Air Conditioner not turning on.

On some remotes there is a reset button which is pressed by using the nib of a pen. Or if this does not work you should look under the cover for a manual button, most units have one, and see if the aircon responds. I suspect your remote sensor is faulty, but try the previous suggestions first.

Remotes won't work

There is a reset button in your remote try to reset it then try the remote to your unit. If it wont work then the receiver board is defective.

Air Conditioner will not turn off with remotes

Remote control has a reset button found in front or at back inside battery compartment. If you replace your remote control with battery or your remote control is malfunctioning you to reset it.

You don't have to go outside to turn off the unit, you can "on" or "off" the unit using the emergency operation switch.
