Question about Goodman CLQ36AR49 Air Conditioner
The air handler is running but the outside conderser is not. On the corner piece above the lines there are four screws, unscrew them and remove cover. Inside there is a contactor you have L1 L2 L3 and T1 T2 T3 and there is a coil in between them. O'kay we need to make sure we have power coming to the contactor so check to make sure it has power, if not then outside near the unit there is a fuse/breaker box. O'kay we have power so its not the outside fuse box. Now we need to make sure that the air handler is sending the 26 volts to the contactor, these are two small gauaged wires hooked towards the back of the contactor. You can also push the contactor in with a insulated screwdriver and it should engage the fan and compressor. O'kay we have the 24 26 volts from the air handler. We check for power ontop of the contactor we have it, so now it is either the fan/capicator or the compressor. To check compressor it is just a matter of taking off the other three screw and disconnecting the fan and lift the top off of the unit. then leaning over into the unit unsnapping the cover and making sure that the three wires are connected to the compressor. Since it is not tripping a braker it is not locked down compressor or shorted compressor. More then likely it is something with the contactor or the fan. If everthing checks good then evidently there is a leak and the freon is low and cut out on pressure. Hope this helps tim
