Wifi Keeps Dropping

Dropouts are usually caused by the modem itself and not so much the wifi unit in the laptop. Next time it drops out, try resetting the modem router first. If this fixes it immediately the problem lies there. Next is to identify what wifi card you have in your system. You can find this in Device Manager. Then go to the original manufacturers website and see if there is a later driver for your card. If so, download and install it from there and not the Asus site. Sometimes the laptop manufacturers are a bit slow in keeping individual 3rd party drivers up to date.

Why does my internet keep dropping?

change your connection system
you can get TP link units that plug into the house electrical system and run ethernet cables from the computers on a home network system
works like a charm over any distance on the same power circuit for the house
may be a wireless dongle will fix your problem

When i connect with the internet and my phone rings, the internet connection is interrupted and I cannot use the phone and internet at the same time. please helps

I'm goign to asume here that you have DSL by your problem. If I am incorrect then please let me know.

With that said, first you need to check that your dsl filters are correctly connected and functioning correctly. If you hear a static or fuzzy sound on the telephone even echo this will be the casue from a bad filter or non-existing filter.

A filter that is bad or missing will cause DSL to drop its connection. The telephone call will cause too much interruption with the dsl signal and causes the modem to drop the connection to reconnect with a more solid connection.

So what you need to do is check your filter by changing it as well as checking this problem that it happens on all phones not just one individual.

Please get back to me if you need more information or this does not help you.

Slow speed, slow connection, drops connection

You need to contact your service - DSL cable - company to check the ping rate between your modem and there server. Typically this happens when they are working on, or upgrading there servers. They know what the ping rate should be and can fix it from there end

Slow to connect to any webpage and at times drops

has nothing to do with the laptop its your internet connection, you may have exceeded the monthly download limit in which case your internet company will halve your speed and if you continue to download stuff they will cut you off, thats probably the most likely thing assuming this info is relevant to you

Slow/Non-Existent Internet

More info would be neccassarry to determine if this is a virus causing this, or spyware, or just a newly installed program or windows update, try clicking start, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore" and choose a point in time that the pc operated mormally, if this doesn't fix the problem, it may be virus related and more thourough support would be advised. The above procedure will not erase your data.
Please leave a good rating if this helps. Thanks

DI-704P unit power problem?

Unplugging the router resets it, I don't realy think its a power problem. The power pack contains a transformer that steps down (reduces) the power from 115V down to the 12V (or so, I don't really recall any more) the router uses. The byproduct is heat which can range from warm to uncomfortable to the touch. It?s not uncommon to have to reset your router and/or cable modem on some basis. At one time I had a DI-704 and had to reset it on a weekly basis to reestablish my Internet connection. At the time I thought it was my router but later it turned out to be a problem with my access provider supplied modem. How often are you having to power down the router? Who provides your access?
