It's not the thermal fuse, the dryer wouldn't run and the ignitor wouldn't glow.sounds like you have bad gas coils,if the dryer runs for the first 15 to 30 minutes normally and then no more flame the coils are failing, when they are bad they work until they heat up and then nothing, when they cool down they work again, common problem, also you should clean out the dryer once a year ,clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into,if your vent line is long take it off from the back of the dryer and blow it out with a leaf blower, make sure the outside vent is clear first, you can have a fire and then you can pop the thermal fuse, clean it and your clothes will dry on time, let me know what you find
part number 279834,you get both coils in the kit.
One more thing to check off on the "Honey Do" list! I was talking to my buddy tonight and his dryer went bad on him and he got a new one(his drum wore through his door!). I asked him what it was and he said it was a GE gas dryer. He already had it apart so I asked if it had the 2 coils and sure enough it did so I went over and snagged his coils off his old dryer and they were the same. I put them on tonight and the first load is almost done drying and it works like a charm again lighting up every cycle. I'm gonna order up a new set just to have on hand if these ever go bad. I appreciate the help very much! Got the wife off my **** so now I can take our twin boys fishing this weekend!
Thanks again,
Don

Hi,
If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heating the most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glows sometimes it is still not working properly.
if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip....
If you have an electric dryer, you can have many different things that can go wrong causing the dryer not to heat.
check out this electric no heat tip...
