Fully charge battery but only plays 30mins - Durabrand PDV-709

This could be the charger socket is worn and not making a good connection when charging or it could be the charger itself at fault. Now you have changed the batteries, I presume new and both the same type, you need to look at the charging side.

Is the battery a exact spec.? Some aftermarket batterys, inexpensive replacements, do not play-well with your laptop. If you purchased from a computer store, return for a replacement. That said, It may be that it's not fully charged or need to be drained and charged, cycle it a few times. Some batteries have to go through a "learning" process. It says fully charged in windows software, right? again, some replacement batteries don't play-well with windows.Its a "pins" thing in the battery connector.

When want to charge htc wildfire it is better you turn the phone of before charging. Plug in the charger and charge for about 20mins to 30mins then remove the charger pin-mouth for like 10secs and plug it back in. soon the red light will turn green in less than an hour..

A laptop won't last long without being charge, a fully charge battery should last about 1hr 30mins so charge the battery while your watching a movie next time.

I would replace the battery first.

The very first time you charge your battery YOU MUST CHARGE IT FULLY!!! If you didn't, that is probably the problem.

Also, even if you charge the player for just a couple of minutes it will APPEAR to have a fully charged battery when it actually doesn't.

Most portable media devices require at least 20 minutes to an hour to fully charge whether the screen shows that it is fully charged or not.

No it doesn't have to be fully charged as long as there is enough battery to turn on and play music it'll turn on it'll also remind you if the battery is low

It looks as if your battery needs to be charged. First charge should lasts long enough. Aproximately at least 6-8 hours. Then try to use it. I think it will work.

Try taking out battery and plug in power. If it works, battery is faulty. If not,

Try charging up your battery for more than 30mins. If battery is not charging for more than 30 mins, your battery is faulty.
