sounds like you've blown a fuse inside the ds itself. Check on the underside of your console and check if it says "5.2v in" adjacent to your charger port if it does then the uk charger is safe to use. But the fact remains you may of blown a fuse. There are two fuses in the ds and are very small they can be repaired easily if you have any soldering skills.

well the only way is to use a phone charger but your risking your ds so try to see if it is 6.2v or over if they are then don't use it cuz it could like over power your ds
