Built in memory full and I have only taken one photo.

Have you inserted an SD card as the built in memory on the camera is only 12.7 Mb big so an SD card should be inserted. Hope this helps.

New 4 g memory card says memory card error

I hope you have this problem solved but if not here are some solutions. First format the card as all new memory cards need to be formatted to the camera they are being used in. I'm not totally familiar with the model of camera you have but, if it has been working with say a 1gig card and you then install a 2gig card the camera may not accept a 2gig memory card. In this case you would need to go onto Panasonic's web site and download the updated firmware for your camera. In short if the memory card won't format then it's possible it's to big for the camera until you update the firmware

Is there a maximum SD memory card that I can use on my Panasonic Lumix DMCZ7. I have tried to use a 16 & 24Mb SD card but the camera will not read it and displays a ' card error reading message'

I think you mean 16 and 24 GB (Gigabyte), not MB, but those would not be SD cards. A card that size is actually an SDHC card. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but they are slightly different. Many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

If you really mean 16MB, then that would be rather small, not too big. 16MB is definitely compatible with the camera and is mentioned in the manual.

The maximum memory card size mentioned in the manual is 1GB, and that is quite big enough. If you really need more space, then just carry a spare, like people used to take extra film with them on holiday.

How big of a memory card can I use in my panasonic lumix DMC-TZ1 camera? 2gbs , 4gbs or 8 gbs. thank you from Douglas James misterdoug2003@yahoo.com

Doug,

The Panasonic DMC-TZ1 camera supports SDHC cards. SDHC is a "Secure Digital High Capacity" memory card, and the spec says an SDHC capable device can use any SDHC card - so, you can go 16GB, 32GB or more - limited only by how much money you want to spend.

Enjoy your camera!

Can't upload photo from Panasonic DMCTZ3 Digit Camera to Computr

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries. Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa.

Bought 8gb memory card - error message

Hi, I suspect that the SD card is to big for that camera as that camera is a lower end camera. You should try the SD card in a camera that is known to be able to handle such a huge card.
