A friend of mine has this tv he unpluged it 4 a wile and it came on when he pluged back in it worked for about 1 day and wouldnt turn back on they get the green lite on front panel when they try to turn it on

Ok first thing is that you know is that it is not a main fuse. The main processor is recieving power otherwise you would not get the front green panel light... So in thse set if the processor is detecting a problem unfortunalty it cound be on of about 45 different resons that can happen. so this is where the troubleshooting begins. Question i need to ask does the light flash or stay green... technicans do have specail computer interface equipment that read the errors to help to determine the fault. if you are a technician. (IF YOU ARE a technician) you can check things like HOrizntal trasitor, and some basic voltages.

If you're using a DVD player or other component using the Component cable hookup, try unplugging that from the mix, unplug the power cord for the TV from the wall and wait 15 seconds and plug it back in, then power the TV back on. Mine used to do this and I gave up on the component cable option and went back to composite (RCA).
