Question about Logitech Cordless Mouse

1 Answer

Once I have replaced batteries in my Logitech wireless mouse, do I then hold down the "connect" button on the receiver and then the "reset" button on the mouse (at the same time) or is it the green invisible optic button on the mouse, or something else?

Hi,

You need to re-connect the mouse to wireless network.
Follow the steps given below.

Step 1

Press and hold the Connect Button ( At the bottom of the mouse ) and the connect button on the receiver together and release both the buttons together.

This will help you connect the printer again to PC.

If this does not work, try this next step.

Step 2
You will have to uninstall and reinstall the drivers for your mouse

Click on Start
Click on Settings or Control Panel
Open Add or Remove Programs OR Programs and Features
Look for Logitech Wireless Mouse in the list
Use the arrow key on keyboard till you select the Logitech Wireless and choose Uninstall

Hope this should fix the issue.

After you uninstall - reinstall the program, and restart your computer. This should allow you to use your cordless mouse again.

Thank you for contacting FixYa

Mouse will not work. I've changed batteries, unplugged and re-plugged the remote device. It will not work. What do I do?

Have you tried pressing reset/connection button on the device? Some Logitech models may have a connection button on the receiver which is plugged into the computer. The receiver button must first be pressed then press the device (mouse or keyboard) reset/connection button. Some Logitech models you will have to go into the Logitech software to start the connection software then press the reset/connection button when prompted.

Got it for Christmas and it just quit today. Changed the battery twice and tried the reset button, but no luck. V220 model

Most wireless mice does not have a reset button. They usually have a "Connect" button.

Since you have tried replacing the batteries, try holding down the connect button on the USB receiver and on the mouse at the same time for five (5) seconds and release them. See if that would work.

If not, try connecting the USB receiver into another computer to isolate the problem.

Good luck and have a good evening!

I replaced the rechargable batteries in my logictech wireless mouse and put on the charger for 8+ hours - my mouse still does not work. what else can be wrong? It is frozen in the middle of my screen.

You may want to try with normal batteries instead of the rechargeable ones.

You have not provided the model no of your mouse. Is it connected to PC or laptop?

Are you able to go to the logitec mouse setup in control panel and check if the diagnostic works.

Some wireless mouse devides have a reset button which you sync with the base unit that goes to the USB port. If this one has it, then try to resync.

Waiting for your responses so that we can diagnose the problem further.

The batteries died on my cordless mouse. My

Make sure that the switch is turned ON after replacing the battery. If it's ON, try holding down the connect button on the USB receiver (that's connected to the computer) and then hold down the connect button underneath the mouse AT THE SAME TIME for 5 seconds and release them both.

If same problem occurs, make sure that there are no possible wireless interference near the mouse. Example, base of a cordless phone or a mobile phones. These devices' signal might interfere with the wireless signal of your mouse.

Thank you!

How do I install/begin using wireless mouse? It worked before then batteries ran out and I can't remember if I need a disc to re-install.

Most Logitech wireless mouse are just Plug-n-Play and it does not require any driver installation. All you have to do is to plug the wireless dongle to the computer and connect the mouse. Here's what you need to do:

1. Make sure that the batteries are fresh or fully charged.
2. Turn ON the mouse using the switch button.
3. Locate the connect button on the dongle (receiver) and then press it once.
4. Hold down the connect button underneath the mouse for 5 secs. and then release it. And the mouse should work.

If the mouse is not responding, then hold down the connect button on the dongle and on the mouse at the same time for 5 secs. and then release them both. Move the mouse around.

Hope this helps and have a great day!
