Water uner bottom drawer of my refrigerator??

If this is an auto defrost fridge there is a small drain hole usually somewhere on the back of the fridge. This sometimes gets blocked. Locate it clean it out and you may then find the water drains away and not in the fridge.

Water not going from inlet valve to ice maker. I can switch plastic connectors and hold push water switch on door front to make the valve open and send water to the ice maker.

Hi Rick,

Typically, the hot side of circuits are switched - neutral is always presented at the load. This is for safety. If hot were always present - any accidental ground (at any time) would either power up the load until removed - or cause direct short if it contacted the always hot terminal. If the hot is present at the solenoid only during times it is needed to fill, then you you could safely connect the neutral from the other solenoid. HOWEVER - since I do not know which fridge you have and can't verify the wiring - you'll have to do some testing on your own before attempting. Have a look at the neutral side of the solenoid and see if you can't locate a break in the wire somewhere - with the fridge unplugged.

Water collecting and freezing behind vegetable drawer left side of GBSCOHCXFRWW

blocked drain.
pull the fridge out and look at the back. somewhere (unless it has cover panel) you should see a small hose. this is the drain tube. blow through this and you will most likely feel it clear out a bit. then open the fridge. good chance there could be a bit of a mess to clean up

Fridge is clean but has a nasty smell coming out from the back

There may be a tray under the fridge that collects any water from defrosting . It usually evaporates from the compressor fan blowing over it . Remove lower front cover and back cover to access and clean this tray. Unplug unit before attempting this just to be safe. Hope this helps.

Water come's out to slow? changed filter! was doing it before i changed filter!

James -

Check to make sure the valve for the water supply is on fully - and not between the ON and OFF positions. If that is ok, the water supply line may have become restricted when the fridge was pushed into position the last time it was rolled out (for cleaning, etc.). The line may have become kinked (usually a copper line problem) or partially crushed (copper or plastic) under one of the fridge's rollers.

You should close the water valve before moving the fridge for inspection. Unplug the fridge. Disconnect the water line at the back of the fridge. Inspect the length of line for evidence of a crush or kink. Replace as needed. Test the flow of water into a larger container before reconnecting to fridge. If close to the fridge output, the valve and line to the fridge is suspect. Replace parts one at a time as needed until the problem is solved. If there is significantly more flow than when connected to the fridge, then the problem is somewhere in the fridge - but outside of the filter - there's little to change or go wrong for a "slow flow rate". It's usually an "all or nothing" deal inside the fridge.

Reassemble, turn water supply back on (check for leaks), plug into power, carefully roll fridge into position (watch the water line as long as possible to prevent crushing / kinking) and test.

Please rate this reply if helpful - good luck!

American fridge/freezer - fridge stopped cooling, freezer side ok

Have you pulled out the refrigerator and cleaned or used a vacum cleaner to get out the dirt and dust off the back of the coils, or if the coils are underneath, you need to get an inexpensive appliance brush for fridge, and clean the coils under the fridge, pull off the panel on the front bottom of the fridge, get a flash light and look to see if the coils are covered in dust....may just need to vacum and use appliance brush underneath...this should be done at least one a year, you will notice your fridge running much better and cooling back to normal.......hope this helps......

Kenmore # 63142 Fridge -- Water in Freezer

If water drains out, then there is always a blockage somewhere on drain line.

Defrost the unit completely to get rid of ice building inside drain lines.

If that does not work , then the drain line must be unlocked using a flexible shaft.
