Duplex- Back of page not clear

I'm using Application Xtender here at work and trying to get the pages to scan front and back. I select duplex and the front page scans perfectly fine, but the back of the page either shows up hardly visable or not at all. I then tried to use the Canon Software (CapturePefect 3.0) but when i select duplex in that program it doesnt even show up like it scanned the back page. Any ideas?

Clean the glass with Isopropyl alcohol. Set proper Contrast level. If the level is not okay, you should get atleast a dark/very light image. If there is no image at all reinstall driver. Run Scandisk on the Comp

Can i skip blank pages while scanning duplex with a 5080c using capture perfect 3.0?

There is option to skip Blank pages. You have to specify in terms of percentage, above which the scanner will save and discard images below the specified percentage.

How do I use my printer as a duplex for making copies on both sides? Thanks Roxanne

The printer does not support duplex coping. If you want to do manual duplex copying, you can make a copy of the first page.
Then reinsert the paper upside down in the manual tray or paper tray, fil the page on the document feeder and make the back copy.

Cancel double sided copying

Slide the DUPLEX switch to the one sided mode on the ADF.

Also you should be able to set the single and dula sided mode from your scanning application in the setup tab.

2. Select Normal-size Printing (or Fit-to-Page Printing, Scaled Printing or Page Layout Printing) from the Page Layout list.
3. When printing a document that has small margins, click Print Area Setup... and set the print area.
When you perform duplex printing, the print area of the document becomes slightly narrower than usual and the document may not fit on one page.

Select Use normal-size printing.
sub.gifTo reduce the page slightly during printing:

Scanner is not reading multiple pages...

Check your scanning software settings. If you are getting only one file output, then you must have chosen 'multipage' option.

Canon dr9080 scans front page as all black.

First check if the front side (i.e top) scans properly in the simplex mode. Try different contrast levels for better clarity. In the setting menu select appropriate contrast for both fron and back, then you should get good outputs. Even after all this if the front page gives dark output, may be the LEDs are not glowing due to lose contact. Try in color to check LEDs. S. Mohan, Chennai, India

Canon DR-2050C - Duplex scanning

Try and reinstall the driver software. IF you had scanned only one page and also had chosen multipage option, the second side will not be visible, unless you use a proper software that can display 2nd side.

Printing a book from Word using duplex printing

In the Printing Preferences window, on the Page Setup tab, you have already selected Duplex Printing and Automatic. If your book is to be bound on the long side, you should have 'Long-side stapling . . ' selected in the window below that.

If that is what you have selected and the pages are printing wrong, try the 'Short-side stapling . . .' option.
