Question about GE Dryers

1 Answer

I recently moved & prior 2 moving the dryer ran fine. After the move when I hooked the dryer up & turned it on it makes a loud sound almost some kind of grinding or alarm. It then shuts itself off. Any suggestions?

Why does my electric dryer shuts off after being on after a few minutes how do I fix it?

This has the potential for being something simple. Moving sometimes causes us to shove things up or into places and you COULD CONCEIVABLY have something keeping the motor from turning the tub. This buzzer could also be a warning device telling you there's something improper in your outlet . . maybe a blockage. If it worked beore you moved, it's less likely that you have a serious problem, but probably WILL have if you don't look into it right away.

Sounds like damage was done to the control panel during the move. You will need a qualified LG tech to test the controls and see if the power button was broken during the move.

Recently moved..stopped working after the move

your problem may be in the voltage that the dryer works on. If the cord is fine then I would check to see what voltage that may be supplied tot he dryer and if the dryer can operate on the voltage being supplied.

Only getting half the volume

The first things I would check would be the volume control within your operating system. If I assume you have Windows XP, you would go to Start-->All Program-->Accessories-->Entertainment and click "Volume Control". Make sure all of the sliders are at least 1/2 way up. You might also want to check to make sure the cable from the speakers to the computer is plugged into the proper jack (usually the green one), as sometimes computers have jacks for rear speakers, which might make them sound quieter.

No heat electric dryer

Hi , what the repairman say is true , that parts are available in appliance store or any electrical shop., bring that sample to the appliance store for sample . that is like sensor it will open when it broken the filament of heating unit will not heat up if that parts will open., it is one one who limit the heating allowed by machine .
