Why is my airconditioner blowing hot air instead of cold... we tookit out for this year and now it dooesnt work right do we add freon to it

Check the capacitor, It should be flat on top where the wires connect. A lightening strike or other power surge will cause this area to be puffed up. two wires connect either way. Three wire, Black to common Red,white or yellow to herm, Blue purple or brown to fan.

I have a 2004 Yukon. The airconditioner blows

OK, do you have 'zoned' cooling where the passenger side can have a lower or higher temperature depending on a setting on the heating/ventilation/a/c console?
This is the way my Cadillac Deville is, it actually has a knob on the passenger side for the passenger to control temperature.

Good luck on this.

Also, make sure the system is charged up fully with r134a.

Airconditioner suddenly stopped blowing cold air while I was driving--blows warm air now

you can get a recharge kit at Auto Zone, the car has to be runnung to fill it. . This is the first thing I would do, to see if it's out of freeon first.

Ask the Auto zone man to come out side and help you refill it. They will help if you ask.
