Do not use hot water/steam as the plastic will "melt"leave it to defrost naturally.

My fridge sterted to pour water from water dispenser instead of filling the ice tray.

There are two possible problems here. Either the water valve is going bad on the machine, or even more possible the main controla board, located on the back of the machine and can't be located by the silver square plate the covers it. Unplug the machine and remove the plate and look for any signs of burns or major discloration. This board controls everything on the refridgerator. A good place to order parts from is www.repairclinic.com because of their awesome return policy.

Won't dispense ice

Check Temp inside freezer. It has to be down to about 10 or 15 degrees
This can cause slow ice making if its too high even tho its freezing everything else at 25 degrees
See if water is in icemaker.
Pour water in Ice Maker and wait to see if it ejects.
If it ejects thenyou need to replace water valve in rear bottom of fridge(Its the part that
attaches to water line out of wall)
If it doesn't eject then it is a faulty Ice Maker.
If its leaking same part needs replaced. The water valve at the bottom rear of fridge.

Water leakage from underneath front of fridge and/or freezer. Ice build up on floor on freezer. Drain pan overflowing? Drain hole appears iced also. Can poke wire down 8" but water isn't draining...

The drain hose is probably clogged with a pea or some kind of food etc. Try pouring boiling water down the hose, or a hair dryer if that doesn't work, or let it warm up until you can pour water down and it comes out into the pan at the bottom. Make sure that the hose is free of dirt etc

Pull out fridge to see the pan, disconnect the POWER..

Water leaking out of the bottom of my ge refrigerator.is there a tray that I need to empty? cannot locate one.

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back/bottom of freezer..you may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat gun...you will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper towel...now you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curatain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water drain..now it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the fridge is because the water has been leaking into the freezer and down the vent into the fridge instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you need any further assistance. Mike

Water was frozen all inside the freezer and fridge temp was high

Self defrost mechanism may have an issue. If it stays on too long you will have excessive temps build up in refrig as well as freezer. There is also a defrost thermostat that is supposed to turn compressor back on when temps get too high - check that out also.

Ice Dispenser

If you access the ice container and remove any partially melted ice - maybe the ice maker will work. We had a similar problem. We opened the ice reservoir and discovered ice cubes that had partially melted together. Once we removed those, the ice maker and water dispenser returned to normal. Now we check every so often.
