Myy wertheim steam mop is over 2 years old. Wont steam, have followed manual instructions for maintenance etc and still wont steam. Is it time to replace it.

If you live in a hard water area and haven't been using distilled or deionised water, it could be a good time to replace it due to a probable internal build up of scale. If it hasn't already caused trouble it is almost inevitable soon.

If you have been using soft water and/or descaling regularly the steamer should still be relatively clean internally and it would be worth finding a competent person to check the circuit, cable, switch, but not at full retail prices or if it must be replaced it will be wasted money. I stored my FH50220 in my storage unit over the winter and now it will not spray water

If your storage unit got below freezing it may have frozen and damaged something. It's hard to drain all of the water from pumps, tubes, valves, heaters etc. inside a carpet cleaning machine. If a machine must be stored where it may freeze one way to keep it from freezing up is to pour automobile windshield washing solution into the fresh water tank and run it through the machine until it comes out all of the Jets and cleaning attachments. Remove the fresh water tank and continue to run the solution through the machine to flush the windshield cleaner out of the machine. Be sure to use a cleaner with the proper anti-freeze rating and run fresh water through the machine before using it to clean carpets.

Steam wont come out although filled with water and heated as required

If you are using tap water the holes where the water comes out are plugged. You will have to take it apart to clean. After that you should use distilled water you can purchase at your local grocery store. That is what my wife uses after I insisted.

Hi, I have a older model Sunbeam water cooler that hasn't been used for a while ..Need to know how to clean and sanitize it? got any ideas

Vinegar might help. Run a bunch through the water cooler and it can help clean out the unit (and will give you some disinfection as well) without damaging it. I have used vinegar in my coffee pots with much success over the years. Once you are done, you will want to run a LOT of water through it to get the vinegar taste out of the system, though. If you are not a fan of the idea of vinegar in your water cooler, you can try coffee-pot cleaner ... it is more expensive, but is designed for the same basic use.

try to adjust to lessen the setting of thermostat maybe the setting is to full thats why the thermostat cannot cut off after the water chilled. then observe the unit.

Hamilton beach water cooler has mildew taste

Hi, your post is showing a photo of a vacuume cleaner? Don't think so,lol. If you water cooler has a mildew taste in the air, you need to go to a hardware store, just about any, and buy a roll of evaporative water cooler tablets that you add to the water to prevent this from happening. They are the size of a quarter and come in a roll or other container depending on the amount you buy. They have different names, so just ask for the tablet additive for your water cooler and they will no what you need. I hope this has helped you.

Bissell 9300 will not spray liquid

I've got the 9300. Same problem occured during warranty period. They replaced the pump and it has worked fine since. The service person said never to put hot water in the tank (whish is what I was doing). If you put hot water in the tank, with the heater on, the water gets boiling hot and then the plastic impeller on the pump expands and the pump shaft simply spins and does not turn the impeller. Don't know if it is true or not, but his explanation sounded reasonable. Since then, I have used only lukewarm water in the tank and it still squirts fine (about 2 years). I also shut the heater off and squirt some fresh water in order to keep the pump cooler if I need to pause the cleaning for more than a few minutes. I took it apart one time to see what is inside. The pump is not real easy to get to. Good luck.

Abused by family member left water in basin. motor makes noise

Hi, If water was left in the tub when it was being used for wet pick-up, and wasn't emptied before using again for dry, you have sucked water up in and on motor windings. About the only thing you can do at this point, is to let the motor dry for a day or so and see if it continues. Check to see if something didn't get caught in the motor that may be making this noise. I hate to tell you but you may loose the motor. Time will tell. If you still have good suction, I would continue to use it until it dies on you. Check for any debri and dry it good. Keep me posted.
Best of luck to you,

Soap solution valve on wand is not working.

No quick fix. Just make sure to run clean water through it before storing. Also, soak it in hot water, when it becomes plugged. I have dismantled my a few times, to clean it out, but have kept it clean to void future problems.

Bissell carpet cleaner

If water is spraying from the tool hose, then check the heater for a blockage. If the heater port is blocked, then the water can't flow back down to the spray nozzles, which could also be clogged. Most likely a clogged heater, it is in the handle.
