Question about Sharp AR-168D Copier

Sharp AR 168D will not print from PC

My AR 168D will not print from the PC. I can press the print button and then enter the print queue and the job status says "printing". After a few seconds the print job disappears (it acts like it actually printed). The copier itself never does anything. The screen just constantly says "ready to print". I have tried both USB and the LPT1 port but neither will work. I have checked the paper sizes in the options screen and I have even tried other drivers but nothing seems to work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    having exactly the same problem with sharp ar-168S machine.....tried suggestion #1 no help...anyone else?

    Sharp 168D don't print,I already install the drivers,but still is not printing,is because maybe there is a key to anable this feature.

Try disabling the print queue. In windows 2000 go to printers, then properties of the canon printer, advanced and select "Print directly on the printer".
Also try printing from another computer and replacing the interface cables.

Sometimes this would happen when a bad print job got sent to the machine. I'd make sure to delete all of the print jobs in everyone's print queue on their computer then reboot the machine to see if it comes back up.

Error H3-00

Hello sir; This error code require a reset procedure ;
press "#", "*", "clear", "*",these four keys by order, then enter 14 press start. then turn power off and back on.

My SHARP AR-168D is not recognizing a new toner cartridge.

Make sure what you've got is Sharp's AR168NT and not AR152NT. Sharp mades changes about a year ago to their toner and the chip on an AR152NT will not work with an AR-168D model.

Ok you say it won't print on the glass or in the adf ?
Does the lamp turn on ?
is the drum seated properly ?

you should change your printer data cable or fix correctly with printer port.

I have a sharp 1r-168d copier. I have replaced the fuser assembly and now have a H2-00 error. I am unable to enter the servicemans mode to clear the self diagnostics

To enter the serviceman test command mode, press the keys as
[#] key → [*] key → [C] key → [*] key

then enter Sim 14 then hit the start button and restart the machine.

H4-00 error on Sharp AR-168D

the code needs to be reset even if you replace the fuser.
Press clear, press *, press #, press * your display should go blank press 14 then press print,
I'm doing this from long term memory I may have the # and * symbols swapped
