Question about Samsung DLP HL-P4663W 46" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television
I own a Samsung HL-R4667 DLP TV. One day the picture went out on the tv, sound was still present, and the lamp and temp lights blinked on the front. After trying to replace the lamp, and the tv still exhibiting the same symtoms, I replaced the ballast. After replacing the ballast, the lights are still blinking on the front of the tv and no picture is showing up. However, the lamp is now turning on in the back of the tv.
At this point, I am uncertain as to what to do to my tv to get it to work again. Is there a reset process I need to follow? Someone mentioned that the main board may need to be reset. Does anyone know how to do this or have experience with this? Should I try to purchase a samsung repair manual?
Thanks for any advice or assistance.

I have Samsung DLP HL-R4266W bought in Aug.2005. Now it has no picture, no sound. After replacing new lamp, the same problem remains. I was also told it could be the problem of ballast. Please tell me where you can buy the ballast? Where is the ballast located in DLP TV? Thank you.

SOURCE: Issues with replacing Ballast
The flash code indicates that the lamp cover is not installed correctly. There are safety switches built into the housing that require the cover be installed correctly for the set to work. If the cover is actually in place correctly, there may be a broken switch. Check for this and update this if you can not resolve the problem.
