Do you have a modem??if you have one, try to call your internet provider so that you can register the router that you just bought so that the modem will recognize the router and give internet connection without you configuring anything. After that you can just connect to the wireless network and baam, you'll have wireless internet in no time.
you still have to use the modem from virgin, mine is setup the same but with a different router, you have the virgin rounter connected to the wireless router then the belkin wireless rounter connectes to you pc instead of the virgin router, your gonna have to log onto the router and setup some security to make the connection safe from others using it.
Check that the wireless drivers are installed properly on both your laptop and desktop. THe certificate error is because your laptop does not "trust" your computer. Under network conections click add a connection ec, and when you try to conect, microsoft should ask you weva to trust the connections from computer to computer that should do it :D
no guide needed, just connect the modem to the router with the ethernet cable provided by your ISP, flip your router over, find the default ip address and login info, login to the router with this info, run the setup.
Shut each network device down, then pull the power from the Modem and Router, wait a minute and power up the Modem, then wait another minute and start the Router, then you can fire all computers and Xbox. Keep in mind what your Bandwidth is and how much each device is using when you encounter problems and consider disconnecting unneeded devices when one device requires more. I know the last part should have nothing to do with your losing signal question. And you'll have to consider the distance each wireless device is from the "N" router also. Did you have another router running without these problems before installing the Belkin N router?
Do you have a wireless security protocol enabled, and if so, what? Install a wired connection to the router (use an ehternet cable to connect your laptop's RJ-45--looks like a wide phone plug--into one of the Belkin router's network jacks). Go to the router's management page using your web browser (probably http://192.168.2.1). If you have not previously set the password in your router, simply leave the password field blank and CLICK "Submit". If you have previously password protected your Belkin router, use the known password. If you have forgotten your password... you'll need to reset your router.
Reest Router: there is usually a small hole into whiuch a pin or paper clip can be inserted for this purpose or a small button to press. Most Belkins--IIRC--have the button.
Once you are on the Belkin router's management page, look for the wireless link and set your security protocol to match what your wireless card is capable of, set the password, save and exit. Use the sasme password in configuring wireless networking in Windows.

Belkin products are notorious for breaking down at a high rate. If you wanted to rule out your computer as the culprit, you could install the belking adapter on your laptop (disable the built-in one) and see if it still works. I would also suggest going here:
and typing in your product model # and downloading the latest firmware/software for it. As always, restart your computer.
