How can I remove the auger assembly to remove the augers so I can drill out remaining piece of shear pin?

You could take off the side panels of the Auger Housing and that should allow you to slide the auger off the shaft.
If you rotate the auger to see in the Sheer pin hole, can you see the remaining part in there? Sometimes the Pin will sheer AND the auger will rotate on the shaft a little bit which prevents you from getting a new pin to pass all the way thru both the auger and shaft. Make sure this did not happen in your case. I'm surprised you cannot get a Drift and knock the remaining piece of pin all the way thru. Again, make sure you issue is that the pin is stuck and not that the auger shifted a bit

What are common causes of flywheel key breakage?

Incorrect valve adjustment, especially on OHV motors that causes a backfire can cause the sheer pin to break. Obviously this saves the motor from worse damage. Also, sudden stops caused by hitting something like a log or stump with engaged blades have broken the pins before. On an older motor I had one sheer because the piston rod was a little loose off the crank and the slop was causing the motor to bind. Obviously this did internal damage but the sheer momentum of the motor spinning a heavy flywheel no suddenly stopping broke the pin. Lastly, the magnets on the flywheel could be hitting the coil pack, binding up causing the pin to snap. Be sure to check if the space is gapped correctly. And don't buy cheap pins or generic pins. There should be no slop whatsoever. You almost have to pound it into the slot. Slop equals a much high ER chance of breaking for no reason at all.

I have an aamco 4000 brake lathe, the disc feed is not working

The cross feed drive shaft is connected to the cross feed spindle via a coupling that resembles a universal joint that is threaded onto the end of the cross feed spindle. Either one of the roll pin holes in the drive shaft coupling has worn and the roll pin fell out or it has broken, or the coupling could have came un-screwed from the cross feed spindle. Remove the 4 bolts that hold the cross feed gearbox on and slowly pull it away from the machine and you should see the coupling I'm describing. My guess is that the roll pin broke or fell out due to wear. You can buy a new drive shaft and coupling or drill and install the next larger roll pin. Either way you should download a parts list for your machine. Just search for it, they can be downloaded free.

Black & Decker Hedge Hog 24-Inch Hedge Trimmer. Motor runs, but blades don't move. Is there a sheer pin that I can replace, or is the thing bound for the dump?

You can definitely pick up a sheer pin for that model. I know has them usually pretty discounted, or just check out a local store, but make sure they are in stock.

Need to remove and replace power steering pump on 1987 chevy astro-van, one mounting bolt has sheered off. need pictures of bracketing assy. to see how-to remove and fix problem.

If the head of the bolt is sheered off, your that much further ahead. Remove other bolts, get the pump and the brackets out of the way. With the pressure off the bolt, it is now easy to remove. If flush with mounting surface, get a ease out and drill bit (comes as a kit) tell them what size bolt your dealing with. Drill a hole in the center of the bolt. Use a center punch first to "make an impression" in the center, so your drill bit doesnt drift off center. Also, first be sure bolt dosnt move when tapped in a counter clockwise direction. (Righty tighty...lefty loosey) It'll save you a lot of work.

A little common sense goes a long way!

Its most likely your siren module.

It is located in the right fender well just behind the wheel liner.

Remove the R/F wheel, remove the torx 25 screws, pull the liner to the rear and you can see it right there above the liner.

To remove the siren uses a sheer bolt, which unfortunately you'd need to either drill it out, or use a dremel to slice a slot to get a screw driver in to remove the sheer bolt.
