Question about SYMA Toys industrial New Syma S107 Mini Indoor Gyro

1 Answer

Helicopter does not take off - seems to be lacking in power (usual rotor noise does not seem to be high pitch) . I think the battery is OK. Something may be slipping - any ideas ??

Hi, My S107 did the same thing. If it makes a louder, different noise on full throttle, then the inner shaft is slightly bent. To check this, put a little CRC/WD40 down the shaft then try it. If it lifts off and fly's ok, then that's your problem. Order a new shaft off EBay (really cheap if you search) and fit it, it's quite simple, just fiddly.
Hope this helps.

Hi, We just got our nephew a S107 but it only worked for about an hour, I went and got it and it seemed to not have enough rotor speed, after checking it out i found one of the gears for the bottom rotor was not making enough contact. I took a small screw driver and raised the shaft that the gear rides on so contact would be better and that took care of the problem. With in 5 minutes it was fixed, just have to be very careful with the plastic gears as i'm sure they would break easily. Brian

Syma S107 Mini helicopter won't take up. Only stays on the ground ever after full charge. Everything seems to work but won't go airboune

once again how old is it? when was the last time you checked the controller batteries? how are the rotors pitched? are they capable of changing pitch? are they bent from crashing and straitening?
Lastly check the controller for proper function.

How could i use my iphone 4g to control my toy helicopter

    • 1 Remove the main rotor blades, throttle up the helicopter while holding it in your hand and twist the helicopter from side to side to determine if the gyro is working. The gyro should make the tail rotor spin faster when the helicopter twists; you will be able to hear a difference. If the gyro does not appear to be working, replace it. Some gyros have a sensitivity adjustment screw; try making small adjustments if possible.
    • 2 Check the tail rotors and see if they are connected correctly. If the tail rotor blades are not pitched correctly they will not be able to hold the helicopter still.
    • 3 Test the tail rotor motor and see if it seems strong and responsive. Brushed motors, like those commonly used to drive tail rotors, can wear out in a relatively short time. Replacing the motor may solve your problem if the gyro seems to be working.
    • 4 Check the trim on your transmitter. Ideally the trim should be in the center of the stick movement. You may need to dial in some extra right trim or you may find the trim is set too far to the left.

Hi, I have a Walkera CB180d and there doesn't seem to be enough power for the helicopter to lift higher than my shoulders. I replaced the main rotor with a new one after I noticed a gap in the...

The gap is causing you to loose power transfer. Replace the main gear and you should be back in the air. The CB180 is a fixed pitch, so as long as the blades are intact and straight, you can't do anything esle to them. Also make sure your battery is good and fully charged.

Want to know if there is a way to 'steer' the helicopter. Seems to just move/drift in different direcitons while flying it.

you got that bit right,,, its a real hand full to get your head around its got a mind of its own at times,,, they dont like flying in any kind of a wind and all of the ""tricks"" they say this chopper can do ?? well iv never seen one do it quite right! all straring is done by motor power is the remote control working ok? as the tail rotor is what should do the steering, not the main rotor, at the end of the day its all down to how you use the power settings,, ie: big fist full of power then sudden cut off will pitch the frunt down full power will then make it turn, risky way to fly?

I have an Intel PC that has suddenly picked up lots of static

Forget the magnet. Noises like the ones you describe are usually because of a few things: 1) the hard drive is going bad, 2) a fan going bad, or 3) the CD drive is making noise. I'd like to know what the error message reads. And yes, you are correct that restarting the computer with the power button will sooner or later harm your computer.

When switch on my sharp radio ;generate some noise like helicopter,

pardon me for asking why do you have to changed the capacitors, cap usually have rating and values, unless you have good reason to changed these, ensure you are replacing the same ratings.

noise from radio usually occurs if there is interference of some sort, or insufficient or fluctuating voltages

if the sound seems high pitch, then it is from capacitors you have replaced
