Kenmore 385.1500 sews only in reverse. it is stuck in reverse sewing.

The reverse mechanism lube us going bad. It is accessed from under the machine under the free arm. Usually indicates that the machine is due for a service and oiling. It shouldn't be a problem to get it done at a good sewing machine dealer/store.

How to fix a Husqvarna sewing machine 2000SL 6460 stuck in reverse

A machine stuck in reverse usually means the step motor controlling the movement of the feed dogs has gone bad. You will need to have it serviced by a Viking Service Tech. You can find a dealer near you by using the link 'Locate a Dealer' at the Husqvarna Viking Website - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com/us

Machine stuck in reverse, why?

Just on the inside and slightly below the hand wheel, there is a round motor, and to the left of that there is a cam that controls the feed dogs. One of these (most likely the cam) is stuck, and that's why it only sews in reverse for a short time.

You might try manipulating the feed dogs manual to see if you can unstick it, but most likely you will need to get the machine serviced by a technician to fix it.

Bernina Bernett 55 is stuck in reverse

make sure it's not in the buttonhole setting, and if the machine
isn't in the buttonhole setting and the buttonhole lever isn't down
then it would be a good idea to have the machine checked to see
why the machine ins stuck in reverse.

My model 210 is stuck in reverse. Can you help?

The only thing you can do to possible free the mechanism is to turn the lower dial back and forth a bit, from the position where it is in permanent reverse to the numbered area on the dial. Make sure the selector is not on the buttonhole position. That machine doesn't really have a history of that issue but anything is possible, especially if it has sat for awhile and not been used. If moisture was present where it was stored, it's possible the feed linkage is slightly rusted and simply stuck.

Brother Machine!

The reverse mechanism is stuck. The machine has to be completely disassembled to get to the problem. It is usually not a big deal to get it "unstuck" but taking it apart can be a pain. A good machine tech. can do it easily or you can give it a shot. Just look what the reverse lever actuates and see how it is stuck in the reverse position. It is usually the stitch length/reverse block.

Lever is stuck in reverse

If the stitch length bar, which is located on the right side of the machine, is in the up position move it down to where the numbers are. Those numbers are referring to how many stitches the machine will sew in an inch. Therefore, if you put it on 10, your machine will sew 10 stitches per inch. It being up will cause your machine to go in reverse.

Machine sews only in reverse

Be sure you are in the correct stitch pattern...if you are on a buttonhole stitch or a stretch stitch it normal for the machine to sew backwards. Be sure your length is to the right of 0 and not in a strtch stitch model or buttonhole mode.
