My shaver battery is dead and I need help to show how the shaver is taken apart to remove the battery. I would also like to know where I could take the shaver for battery replacement in the Lynnfield MA or Boston area. Lynnfield is 01940.

I dont know where you can take the shaver in your area. But, you can have the folks at repair it for you. See link below

To take apart the shaver, you will need to gently pry off the cap at the very bottom of the shaver (this plastic piece surrounds the cord hole). Once removed, the side grips will pull away revealing 4 screws. Remove screws to take off back cover.
If you are able to take this apart yourself, an easy fix is to buy the printed circuit board from See link below

I have a Remington Microscreen2 shaver. The rechargeable battery no longer will take a charge and I need to replace it. The problem is that I can find no instructions for removing the battery from the...

You will find the correct battery type at See link below. You will need two

To replace the batteries, start by removing the foils and cutters. Then, gently pry off the rubberized grip on the front. This will reveal two screws at the bottom. Remove screws. Then gently pry off the silver metal plate that is at the top of the shaver. You can then gently pry the front and back case apart.
Inside, you will find a circuit board with the batteries attached. For easier replacement, it is suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. This allows the old batteries to be removed but leaves the tabs attached to the circuit board. You can then solder the tabs from the new batteries to the old existing tabs

Dead batteries will cause the shaver not to charge. Batteries for model 5821XL can be found at See link below

To change, remove two screws on back and remove back cover. Remove plastic clip that is in the way of removing batteries. For easier replacement, it is suggested that you use a modified installation technique. This is to break the tabs off of the old batteries rather than unsoldering them from the circuit board. Braun shaver 5314. The green light works when plugged in. Does not hold charge to work at all. What is the problem, can it be fixed or should I begin looking for a new shaver?

Battery is dead. You will find compatible battery type at See link below

Remove foil and cutter. To open the shaver, pry off the two screw covers on the bottom and then remove screws. Remove the swivel fram on top by removing the two tiny screws. You can then gently pry the two halves apart from the bottom. You will be able to access the battery pack once the case is seperated

Anyone know HOW to change the battery on the Remington Titanium R-950 shaver? Also, I am not sure if the battery is no good or the power cord is no good. Any one have any experience with this shaver?...

It is doubtful that the cord is the problem unless there is visable damage to the cord. Most likely, the batteries are dead. You will find the correct replacement battery type at See link below. You will need 2

To change them, take off the back cover by removing the screws. Inside you will see the two batteries. There may be some black tape on the ends. If so remove the tape so that you can get to the tabs on the batteries. Unsolder the old batteries from the wires and solder in the new batteries

If you are not equipped to do this yourself, can do it for you. See link below for information and ordering

Shaver slows down and stops at about 60-80 charge. Both razors are seseveral years old. Would this be due to batteries needing replacement? If so, I can see they are MIMH solder tab type, what should be...

OK folks, without the brand and model number(s) it is impossible to provide detailed, technical answers to questions requesting MAh ratings, etc.

However, you can go to Electric Shaver Service's web site and locate a replacement battery, based on the specific model numbers of your electric shavers.

Here's the link to the battery pages, just locate your shaver model number and you'll find the correct battery (and the tech specs for it, etc.).

You can then either buy them from them or use the info to go to your local RadioShack or electronic supply source to get batteries that will work.

As you obviously know how to solder and do the repair side of this, I won't go into the step-by-step, since you've already taken the shavers apart and discovered the batteries have solder tabs, etc. Hope you get those shavers working again soon!

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

Remington MS2-250 shaver disassembly?

This shaver was pretty clearly not designed for battery replacement. To open, first remove the screen and blades, and unhook the metal collar from the tab on the back of the case. Then carefully pry off the black inset on the front of the shaver. Underneath it, near the bottom are two screws. Remove these. The case is now only held together by several plastic latches, which can be carefully pried apart with a small screwdriver. The two 2/3A size batteries are soldered to the printed circuit board, which can be pulled out (don't break the wires to the motor) by a little wiggling. The original batteries in mine are 1100mAh, and I have just ordered 1600mAh replacements. The new ones don't have tabs - so soldering them in place is probably going to be a challenge.

Good luck.
