Question about LG 50PC3D 50 in. Plasma Television

1 Answer

THIS WAS MY ORIGINAL QUESTION I HAVE SINCE REPLACED THE Y BOARD AND IT SEEMS TO HAVE FIXED THE BURN IN PROBLEM. AND THE WASHED OUT LOOK . IT NOW APEARS I DONT HAVE ANY COLOR OTHER THAN RED AND BLACK NO BLUES OR GREENS. ANY ADVICE ? our 4.5 year old lg plasma tv 50pc3d appears to burn in from black (like a lava flow) during startup then picture is washed out after warming finally. Any suggestions. It happened overnight. All the vents were blocked so I'm sure it was very hot. I have the maintenance manual but don't see a clear direction other than the obvious do nots. thx

Unfortunately the manual we bought did NOT have a good layout or schematic and definitely no voltage readings or test point references so I can adjust anything. Can the control board have the ability to fix the red black only color issue? I have no prob getting 1 or 2 more boards and possibly get a refund minus the service restock fee if they don't work versus spending another 700-1000 for a new one (which will definitely be LCD). THX in advance. I'm just looking for a possible board or 2 more to replace. it is a 30% restock so 3 boards is still only 150 total to try and fix...

I guess a big help would be assistance in getting an adjustment/repair manual with schematics...

Here is a clear solution,

Since the vents where blocked you might have damaged the screen itself sure the buffer will help sort most of the issue out, Remeber this is plasma not LCD, you might need a new screen, you might not accept this but at least i got the word out, if you want to keep throwing money at guess work that is your option,

But a overheated plasma could damage that actual display

thanks

My front load washing machine is working but the water don't seem to enter.

First of all check filters in hoses & water valves, if ok then water inlet valve may be burnt out. Unplug power cord, remove top panel panel, check where 2 wires go to each water valve & check that area on valves for burning. If burnt or smells of burning, replace valve. IN SOME INSTANCES A COMPONENT BURN OUT CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO CONTROL BOARD.

I have a kenmore elite smart heat quiet pak 9. I just changed the board and it is still having the same issue as before. None of the buttons work to turn it on It worked at first for 20 mins the died

sorry to have to inform you but when u first burned out the original board then replaced it, that was a bad move as u should never replace a board without first finding out what caused it to burn out. else u get a burned out board again

No power at panel--nothing lights up. Outlet has power. Tub if full of water and looks like it didn't drain.

I have this same model, 3 years old, and had same problem. The service tech explained that the board was burned out & had to be replaced. The new board apparently has a fuse, which the original equipment did not, which in theory will trip rather than the board frying. After the board replacement, it was discovered that the cause of the burned out board was a faulty pump. (I had been warned that there was likely something else that caused the board to go bad.) That too was replaced. Now I have power to the board but no water coming into the machine. Yet another problem.

Not washing

The reason to this problem can be due to two reasons.
It may be either the burn spot or burn fuse on the motor
control board.

I have a Maytag MAH3000AWW Washer. It will start

That is a common issue that is caused by the control board of the machine. You may need to request service to fix this issue. Usually it may be caused by a resistor. Replacing the resistor may make the machine to work for a while but the repair will not last longer. I believe that the machine control board next to be replaced. Something else may be causing the control board to go bad.

Perhaps you were able to feel a burning smell from the washer machine in previous days.

Standing water may be caused by the control board failure because the pump will not operate properly.

Electrolux ewf1074 error e40

I've just bought one of these machines, and the manual says the E40 warning means the door is not properly closed. Seems like that would be obvious if it were true, but maybe check that it is closing completely.

Maytag Nepture MAH5500BWW burned control board

ummmm, honestly ive never replaced just the board(im an authorized maytag servicer) so our replacements have always been new, and in this case the repair kit containing both board and motor. that being said, i cant see a reason as to why you couldnt relace just the board itself, ,Ireally never found the reason why the board would burn out, but, as far as repair kit im certain that they were trying to get all circuit boards and motors back to only one model, instead of having 5 or six different boards andmotors, this will bring them all to the most recent board and motor, never was an issue with themotor, jusat that you couldnt wire in the new board without the neew wiring. As long as its the same board i cant see why that wont work. as far as the "wax motor" that was a seperate issue burning out the Top control board, total seperate then your problem,., dont really see an issue with installing your "used board"
