SOURCE: SIM card not valid

Hi thee, I list here the possible reasons for "Sim card not valid"

1 - The phone is locked to a different network. In this case the phone usually accept the sim card the same , and has no network, but sometimes it may return the error message. Unlock the phone at a local shop.

2 - the SIM card is faulty. Test the card on a different phone to find out.

3 - The phone is faulty. Test the phone with different Sim cards, if the Phone returns same error on all cards, then the phone is faulty.

7610 supernova locked code

Hi what kind of lock code are you asking for? Is it a phone lock or a network lock?
If it is a phone lock, You must do a master reset for your Nokia 7610. This could restore your phone with default factory settings.
If it is a network lock, You need to enter the unlock code. You can get the unlock code either from your network provider or from any trusted vendor online. For example you can get the unlock code from www.unlocking4u.com/nokia-7610-supernova/rs6wp9/ at affordable cost.
Here are the steps for unlocking a Nokia 7610 SUPERNOVA,
1 - Switch on your Nokia 7610 SUPERNOVA without any sim card.
2 - Don't bother as to what is displayed on your Nokia 7610 SUPERNOVA.
3 - Compose #pw+CODE+1#.
4 - The Nokia 7610 SUPERNOVA would then display the message "SIM Restriction Off" and will be unlocked!

My nokia 7610 got hang while browsing net. Then i switched-off the phone. But now it is not getting switched-on,when i press the power button the display becomes white for some time and then automatically...

may need servicing, but try to take out the memory card and the battery and SIM card. After that, press the power on switch for about 15 seconds. After that, try to put the battery back, make sure it is still charged, then turn on the phone again. If this works, you may turn it off again to place the memory card and sim card back and use your phone again.

if your phone is what i can see in the above as 7610 nokia and it failed to start, though your problem is not really clear, what you can do are these.
1. romove your battery.
2. remove your sim
3. remove memory card.
4. reinsert battery, try to switch on if it still fails to start, proceed to step 5. if it starts, then reinsert all your sim, battery and memory card. and switch on.
5. while it is switch off, press *, 3, call key, and power on at the same time, to make a hard reset, but be aware that all your settings will be lost once it proceed to hard formatting.

take care.
