Hi, first you will need to install the PC suite of the phone(Sony Erickson) before you can transfer.

But if you don't have the PC suite, When you connect the phone, if it detects that Usb has been connected, You go to my computer, click to open , You will see a new folder added.( which is The phone folder). Click to open.

But note that you can only copy and paste what ever you want to transfer into the folder. Not transfer.

Best advice, get the installation CD.

Take care.

Download photos to pc

If you're photos are saved in your phone's internal memory, transfer them first to the memory card.
To move files from the phone to the card, perform the following steps:
1. At the main screen, tap Menu.
2. Tap My Files.
3. Tap Phone at the top of the screen.
4. Tap the desired folder.
5. Tap the desired file.
6. Tap Options.
7. Tap Move to.
8. Tap Memory card.
9. Tap the desired folder.
10. Tap Open.
11. Tap Move to.
Once you have transferred your photos to the card, the next step would be transferring those photos from the card to your computer.
To move files from the card to the computer, perform the following steps:
1. Plug one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the top of your phone.
2. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB port on your computer.
3. Click File Transfer on the phone.
4. If required, tap OK on the phone to exit to the main screen.
5. On the computer, in the Removable Disk dialog box, click to select Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer, and click OK.
6. Navigate to the file on your memory card that you wish to copy.
7. Right-click the file and click Copy.
8. Navigate to the desired folder on your computer.
9. Right-click and click Paste.
10. When you are finished transferring files, tap Back on the phone.
11. Tap OK to exit the card reader mode.
12. Disconnect the USB cable from your phone and from your computer.

What are the procedures for transferring photos from Samsung gt_15801 mobile to computer system (PC)

If you have a USB cable for it, plug it into your computer and copy the files from your phone to computer that way. If you dont have a usb cable and your computer has bluetooth you can use the bluetooth file transfer software on your computer and do it that way. If you have neither of those your last option is to use a micro sd card, copy the photos onto that on your phone and then plug the card into your computer using an adapter.
Hope it helps

I have spent hours trying to transfer music from my pc to w995. I transfer my music to the sync list, try to sync, and get a message in the sync list that the tracks "did not fit on device". I have 5 gb of...

I can tel you some other way to transfer music files into your phone instead of doin sync. Connect your phone to PC via USB. Now your phone will ask to select on eoption. Select Mass Storage. Now you click my computer in your PC & select memory stick drive there. this is a direct access into your phone memory stick. Select the music file you want & copy paste it into music folder in your memory stick.

My w995 will not connect to my pc. I have the latest software on the phone and on my pc but the pc will not find the phone. Orange helpdesk have given up. What can I do?

Install the drivers first or chose 'File Transfer' on the phone when you connect via usb. If the menu on your phone doesn't appear when you connect to PC than try another usb cable. Otherwise the problem is with your phone's fastport.

File transfer with Dynex cable

USB transfer cables are quite special and not a regular USB cable.

A better (and cheaper) option is if both have network ports (Ethernet)

Then use a crossover cable. This is usually much much faster than USB and also more reliable.

Enable file and printer sharing on both computers.
Also make sure they both share the same work-group common examples are MSHOME or WORKGROUP

Once that is done you have a few options.

The better option is to use file and settings transfer wizard or similar built into windows. This will step you through the process and allow you to carry over your email and address book plus all your documents.

Another is to use copy and paste to pick the items you want and move them directly to where you want them (his does not work as well as the FST option but is quick just for documents etc.

Dont try to copy programs as they don't transfer well for the most part.

If usb is your only option then be very aware that USB 1.0 to any USBwill be extremly slow and even subject to failure. USB 2.0 to USB 2.0 is the only reccomended usb transfer method

How to download music onto my lg vantage cell phone?

  1. Plug the USB cable into the outlet on the phone. There is not a universal USB cable to fit all phones, so be sure you use the right cable for your phone. If you do not have a USB cable, go to a cell phone store and buy one for your specific cell phone. Plug the other end of the cable into an open USB slot on your computer.
  2. Open "My Computer" or "Computer" from your Start menu. Your computer should automatically detect the cell phone. Double-click on the cell phone's icon in the open window.
  3. Open the folder you saved the music in. Right click on the music file or files you want to place on the phone. To select more than one file, hold down the Control key while you click on the files you want to transfer to your cell phone. Select "Copy" from the menu that pops up when you right click the highlighted files.
  4. Click in the cell phone's folder window opened in Step 4. Right click in the middle of the window and select "Paste" from the menu you are given. This automatically starts to transfer the files to your cell phone. Once the transfer is complete, remove the USB cord and listen to the music on your phone.
