SOURCE: I want to read tamil

Most handsets selling in India includes Tamil language. If you bought it in India, then it should be pre-installed with the firmware/flash files. You can check the language settings options. Open "Menu", "Settings" go to "phone settings", and then "language", and tap downward with the down button, you'll see tamil written in tamil itself (if it's pre-installed), highlight it and press "select" or "Ok", now your phone language's been changed to tamil.

The best option is to set the language to "Auto", means it you'll be able to read any languages installed on the phone when you receive messages with the respective languages.

If it's not installed, you can get it done from a Nokia Service center, they will update the language file of your phone.

Good luck.

I am also having the same proble moreover same ..

you cant install tamil fonts without modifying your phone...and by modifing you risk the fact that you are going to brick your phone and make it completely useless.

also some one must create the font pack, and i really doubt that they might create it for an indian language where very little people require it

1. You need to have Unicode Tamil fonts installed on your computer and the Operating System capable of rendering Tamil Scripts. Windows XP comes with a Unicode Tamil Font (Latha) and you should not need to download/install a unicode font.
2. In the Control Panel, in Regional/Languages Options you will need to ensure that Indic/Asian Language option is checked.
