Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

As soon as you press print it acts like it's going to work then the wheel makes a sound and it stops, like the wheel is locked up or something. It says printer error. Remove back access and unjam the printer. There is no jam in the printer.

That usually means that the paper feed rollers are not pushing the paper into the printer. Take a paper towel and some isopropyl alcohol and clean the rubber rollers were the paper is set and feed into the machine.

Steering wheel noise while turning

Sounds like a locking mechanism that is supposed to engage only when the key is removed is intermittently engaging... This is extremely dangerous. I highly recommend bringing it to a mechanic as soon as possible.

One thing you can try is to jiggle the key (while inserted) and see if it causes the problem to occur. If it does then I would recommend duct taping the key into a good position (and again taking it to a mechanic as soon as possible).

As you can imagine if that locks up while you're driving you're going to be stuck going in a single direction with no ability to turn. No doubt resulting in a crash .

I have never heard of that particular part failing in a car unless the key slot was greatly abused (like someone trying to force the locking mechanism to turn using a screwdriver for example).

My whirlpool duet is making a horrible noise. If I push in the exhaust outlet the noise stops. As soon as I let go it starts again. As soon as I open the door it stops instantly. I'm totally stumped.

It sounds like you have something that has gotten into the blower wheel. Small clothing item or dryer fabric sheet. You are going to need to take the front of the dryer off in order to gain access to the blower wheel. I can provide disassembly instructions if needed.

I have a 2000 Alero and have front wheel drive. My front left tire will rotate to go forward but as soon as I put the car in reverse the tire will rotate a little bit but than stops and drags with the car....

Sounds like a brake issue to me, like the caliper sticking. I've taken the axle, brakes and hub/wheel assemblies off these many times, pretty simple. If you choose to DIY, I would suggest you buy a Haynes manual....about $20 well worth the investment. The crunching sound maybe a damaged pad, or something that got lodged in there. You have my curiosity, wish I could see it for myself! :) If you aren't a DIYer, take it to a place that does free brake checks, I suspect you may possibly need a new caliper.

Hi,

you may do a test print to show the result of your life spend on your OPC Drum.

Press and hold the stop button for 5 sec and release it should print out the info. or you can check on your pc by smartpanel.

if it show you that your OPC (image) life spend is more than 25k it is time to replace a new one.

Strange vibration at the pedal when breaks lock

sounds like warped rotors, if the steering wheel also shakes then that would tell me its in the front, replace the front pads and rotors that will solve your problem.dont try resurfacing youll just have pulsating brakes again in a month or two.

Door Locks

Sounds like you have an electric lock actuator going bad. It only takes one and they all act up.The vehicle security module and the switches share the same ground. It is ground #900. Located on the left C pillar. Check to see if the ground is clean and tight. You can disconnect one actuator at a time. If you disconnect the bad one, the rest will function.Did you have any doors making a loud grinding noise when the locks were applied?if yes, start with that one. If no, start with the drivers door. The drivers lock actuator sees more work than the rest since it unlocks by itself on the first push of the remote. If this is something you do not want to do,try the find a repairman option at the bottom of the page. If you need more help, don't hesitate to drop a line.Good Luck

Paper won't feed

The paper is pulled in with rubber traction wheels on a rotating rod where the bottom of the paper sits in the loading area. If these rubber wheels get slick or hard, they won't pull. Buffing the rubber wheels lightly with fine sandpaper will restore the wheels to the rubbery texture they need to pull the paper. But be SURE to completely clean any abrasive dust out of the machine before use.
