Try using getdataback for fat software.
If this doesn't work try so see if in hex the sectors are numbered. If you will see a complete line of 0, then you won't be able to recover any data from the device. I'm telling you from an experience I had a few days ago- I lost all the data from a cruzer titanum.

For a detailed guide of recovery check the following tips&tricks: http://www.fixya.com/support/r4482753-recover_lost_or_deleted_files_from_hard
If you need further details or assistance please leave a comment. Cheers

Transcend connection

For all of you who are unable to make USB drives work or still are getting the “USB Device not recognized”, try this method.

Download usbstor.inf and usbstor.pnf files (links are below) and copy them to

C:\ windows\inf  folder.

(click yes to overwrite the files if windows asks)

Remove the Unknown device from the Device Manager - Other Devices.

Inserted the USB drive and lo and behold! It should be recognized in a jify!

usbstor.inf and usbstor.pnf can be downloaded from here:

http://www.infdump.com/download-inf-files_new.php/inffiles/U/USBSTOR.INF/5.1.2600.0/download.html

http://www.pnfdump.com/download-pnf-files.php/pnffiles/U/usbstor.PNF/download.html

Hope this helps for everyone whose USB drives are still not recognized.

Deboo
