Question about Rowenta Precision DM580 Iron
Many of these have the wires soldered on. You can use a soldering iron to heat up the solder and pull the cord off and remove it from the iron. You will need to dismantle the iron to gain access to the wiring connections. Some just have them with quick connect ends that slip on and off, but others are soldered. Once loose pull the cord out. Where it is attached to the outside of the iron, there may be a rubber boot that you can pry off. Then just do the opposite to replace with a new cord.
