Epson DX3800 Hello kind person / s My printer is refusing to print and the ink light will not go out even though new Epson cartrdiges have been installed. Have switched off / on..retsarted computer / cleared print queue....taken cartridges out and put them back in and that is the end of my technological capability. I hope you can help..it's not CX3200 it's DX3800 BTW Many thanks Vivianna

what brand ink? does the printer utility software on thecomputer tell you anyhthing about the ink? are the ink lights flashing even though the cartridge is in? If so it's probably a bad cart

Check whether cartridges is placed properly ?

Unplug the unit for 30 minutes and plug back the power chord to the unit .

Epson printers are built with a print counter, the company has predefined a maximum print no. for each model, If your printer is an old one,this could be a possible reason. Apologies for not responding earlier, forgot all about it. Solved problem by switching printer on and off many times. It eventually recognized cartridges. Now leave it switched on.

it is problem printer cartridge head change it then solve your problem

well sir this kind of indication TENDS to pertain on the ink pad that needs to be replaced. for you to extensively use the product, download an ink pad reset utility on the epson website. it should give you all of the information you need. www.epson.com/ipr is the site.

ink light on? Check status monitor. Usually after jammed paper, printer trouble to recognized ink. Do change ink tank procedure, unplug and plug again ink tank.

This is a common problem in the Epson line. You may attempt to resolve this first, by powering off the printer. Then remove the power cord and leave it unplugged for an hour. Then plug it back in and power on the Printer. The error may reset itsefl on its own.

If it doesn't please refer to this Tip Page on how to obtain and use a utility to reset your Epson. Even if your printer is not listed as those this will work with this method usually will work today.
