I agree with everyone of the problems below. I just purchased a Gearhead mouse model MP2300BLK and tried to connect it to my internet, I lost my wireless connection in the process and it took me 3 hours to get back online. The mouse was not compatible with any of the software that was on my computer so I tried to install the appropriate drivers and ended up messing up my whole computer. I have no idea what I did to my computer. I finally got back online but now I am really worried about what is on my computer. The kick is the mouse still never got connected. Excelled advice to throw it in the trash!

I just got a Gear Head today and have spent 4 hours trying to install it (and I am very computer literate) and I have yet to succeed! Gear Head's web site sucks!

I think the trash is the perfect place for it!

I have a GE wireless optical mouse that has decided no to work

I had the same problem till I discovered there are two buttons (not just one) you have to push to re-link the mouse and the USB receiver. Plug the little receiver in, push the tiny "connect" circle on the receiver (which is actually a button I guess), then wait for the red light to start blinking. Then press the little link button on the bottom of the mouse.

My Kensington wireless keyboard (Ci70) just stopped working. I have no idea why. The mouse works just fine. XP Pro SP 3. Have rebooted. Unplugged the USB interface device. Plugged back in. Rebooted....

Replace batteries in keyboard and re-sync the devices

>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>- --> Synching Mouse or Keyboard with Wireless Optical Desktop trnsp.gif Question My mouse or keyboard doesn't work with my Wireless Optical Desktop (Model Number: 64373). What's wrong and how do I fix this problem? trnsp.gif Answer Your mouse or keyboard has lost its sychronization with the Wireless Optical Desktop, which can occur after changing the batteries, for example.

To synchronize your wireless device with its receiver:
  1. Move the device within three (3) feet of the receiver.
  2. Press the button on the receiver.
If the receiver has an LED, the light blinks.
  3. Within ten (10) seconds, press the button on the underside of your wireless device.
If the receiver has an LED, the light glows solidly when synchronization is successful.
Early production units of some wireless devices may require repeating the above instructions two or three times.

Timing, distance, and objects impeding the wireless signal may influence your success. While usually unnecessary, some customers have reported better results by:
  • Holding the wireless device very close, within three (3) inches of the receiver.
  • Entirely ignoring the receiver's light.
  • Simultaneously holding the buttons on both the receiver and the device for from ten (10) to twenty (20) seconds.

Try changing the batteries or charging if it is rechargeable or try re-syncing using the syn button.
