the internal switch wires are inverted

Something similar (not the same) happened to my 27G . No buttons work but the display gives different readings at different times. This was corrected when some insulation was applied to the ribbon cable which connects the keypad and the main board as it was touching the outer fram.

on VIP27 (crisp series), hold only Cancel/Stop for about 3-5 seconds.
