WE INHERITED THIS ITEM--NO MANUAL. Yesterday the screen said low battery. I replaced them and now the carriage won't move. It shows a "215" on the screen so I don't know what that means as relating to the problem.

215 is a keyboard error, check the 2 connectors from the keyboard to the main PC board you may have knocked one loose while changing batteries.

Error 5100 is usually a carriage error. It sounds like it is faulty and giving you an ink error. does the carriage move on start up?are there any flashing lights on the carriage showing you a cartridge is faulty? see if anything is stuck under the carriage preventing it from moving correctly.

My system is workin properly but the screen resolution is very dim it seems to be very light ..... even we can't read any thing on that. i checked my monitor with another cpu its working properly can...

IT IS NOT HARDWARE PROBLEM
Change screen resolution

Screen resolution refers to the clarity of the text and images on your screen. At higher resolutions, items appear sharper. They also appear smaller, so more items fit on the screen. At lower resolutions, fewer items fit on the screen, but they are larger and easier to see. At very low resolutions, however, images might have jagged edges.

For example, 640 × 480 is a lower screen resolution, and 1600 × 1200 is a higher one. CRT monitors generally display a resolution of 800 × 600 or 1024 × 768. LCD monitors can better support the higher resolutions. Whether you can increase your screen resolution depends on the size and capability of your monitor and the type of video card you have.

  1. Open Display Settings by clicking the Start button 4f6cbd09-148c-4dd8-b1f2-48f232a2fd33.png, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, clicking Personalization, and then clicking Display Settings.

  2. Under Resolution, move the slider to the resolution you want, and then click Apply.

Epson DX6050. System locked with E-02 showing. All lights are showing green but apart from the ON-Off button nothing works. How do I get the print head to the correct position to change the cartridges?...

Read printer manual for detail of status E-02. Turn on printer, imediatelly unplug power chord while carriage moving. Unplug USB. Move carriage by hand to replacement position.

The screen is showing 'Printer error' I have turned it on and off again. It was fine yesterday.

Is there no detail message of status monitor? Turn on printer, see carriage movement. Is the carriage moving freely? Try to use another ink tank.

Remove ink cartridge

I found that the proper way to do it only worked when the ink light was flashing red. Then when I pressed the stop button it moved across and stopped beneath the marker to show which cartridge needed changing. The I pressed the stop button again and it moved to a place where I could change it.
This happened despite the fact that the pictures I was printing blatently showed that I needed to replace my ink, it wasn't until I had printed the liney pictures a few times that the printer decided the ink level was low enough to turn the flashing light on and let me change it.

IBM wheelwriter 25 message: a box and diagonal line thru it and the number 215.

Code 215 is a printwheel error. Remove the P/W and look for debris in that area, if you have some compressed air source blow this area out, if this dosen't do it the P/W sensor or the LED are probably going bad.

Epson Stylus Photo R320 InkJet Printer

Here is how to get the ink cartridges to move to the changing position on the R320.

1. Press the paper jam/ink button on the printer control panel.
2. A menu comes up. 1st item is ink cartridge replacement. Press
OK button.
3. Another menu with ink cartridge replacement. Press OK button.
4. Thats it, ink cartridges move to the changing position. Change your cartridge as you normally would and follow prompts on screen to finish process.

Hope this helps.
