Try using getdataback for fat software.
If this doesn't work try so see if in hex the sectors are numbered. If you will see a complete line of 0, then you won't be able to recover any data from the device. I'm saying from an experience because I lost all the data from a cruzer titanum just a few days ago.

Here is a complete guide on how to recover the files from a flash drive or a hard drive:http://www.fixya.com/support/r4482753-recover_lost_or_deleted_files_from_hard
If you need further assistance please leave a comment. Cheers

I want to reformate this flash drive how do i do it

Insert it to your computer through the USB port, if it opens up automatically, close the window. Open My Computer, locate the "Cruzer" or "Removable Media" or whatever name is specified to your cruzer, right click and select "Format", a new dialog box will pop up, click "Start" to begin formatting, wait for few seconds until the formatting is done. You'll hear a notification sound when formatting is completed. Hope this helps.
Let me know if you need further help.
Good Luck.
Thanks for using FixYa.

SanDisk 2GB Cruzer Micro USB I/O device error

I would recommend plugging your Cruzer into another computer. It's possible that your computer has corrupted or incorrect drivers for the flash drive. This is one cause of the yellow alert in Device Manager. If you move the flash drive to another machine and it works, you can save your data and make a backup copy. If your Cruzer doesn't work in a different computer (I would try at least 2 other working computers), it's possible that the flash drive is faulty.

Sandisk cruzer micro 2gb not detected

You only need to use disk management !!
for Win_XP:
Right click 'My Computer'.
Choose 'Manage'
In the left pane, under 'Storage', Choose: 'Disk Management'.
When device is connected it will appear as: 'Disk xx - Removable'.
It should be not allocated (Black Line), so you only need to created a new partition and format it.
Good Luck !! :-)
