Hello ****,

Your laptop should have a S-Video or Composite TV Out on the back of it. If both cases, you will need to see if (assuming) Windows is able to see this other other output. Right click on desktop, choose properties. Click on settings tab. On the display menu, you should have an option for TV. If not, your laptop may not support external tv connection.

Otherwise, you can use a VGA to DVI converter that will take the monitor output off the back of the laptop, and convert the signal to DVI.

One more option, if your laptop supports "Zoom Video" on the PCMCIA slots, is to use a plug in video card. Though hard to find, and formats leave much to be desired, this may be your only option if you don't have a VGA ouput, nor TV outputs.

    Sorry, I misunderstood.

If your TV has a VGA in, and the laptop has a VGA out, it sounds like you need to enable to the second output.

There is usually a key combination to enable this. For your laptop, I am pretty sure it is the FN key (located next to the left control) and the F8 key. Press FN, hold it, then press F8. This should switch video modes from laptop panel, to mirror and you should then have an output on your TV. If you press the key combination again, the laptop panel may turn off and use the external (TV) exclusively. At this point, windows *may* detect new hardware (your tv) or it may continue to use the same parameters as the laptop's display. Your TV may have come with a driver disk / CD that should allow windows to use the tv better (up to the capabilities of the laptop video card).

To sync the audio with the VGA input on your TV, you will need to consult the manual for your TV. VGA input is sometimes shared with DVI, or it is shared with another input as far as audio is concerned. Look in your manual, see what the audio options are. You may be able to setup your TV so that it grabs video from VGA, audio from different input, and video resolution to be specified (which should then trigger windows auto-configure / plug and play).

    Otherwise, use external speakers.

Connect pc laptop

This TV has a PC interface VGA (HD-15) , so all you need is get a VGA to VGA cable to plug between the VGA output on the PC and TV.
On the PC select the display as external monitor.
On the TV pick the PC input as required input, not the TV tuner.
Here is the manual.

I have a toshiba satellite p755, it use to be able to hook up to my HD TV with the HDMI chord but now its not connecting..whats the problem?

Make sure all connections Power ,HDMI and any other connecting leads have secure dust free connections also check each lead for any kinks / bends .
Connecting a Toshiba Satellite Laptop to a TV is an ideal way to enjoy videos, photos and other media on the laptop on a much larger screen.
Satellite Laptops can be connected to TVs using VGA, S-Video and even HDMI, though the TV has to have compatible inputs as well.

Connect the RGB cable or S-video cable to an open input on the TV.
Depending on the type of TV, it may or may not have a RGB input.
S-video may have to be used instead.
Connect the 1/4 inch to RCA Y-cable into the TV using the same input as the VGA or S-video cable.
Connect the other end of the VGA or S-video cable and the audio cable into the laptop.
The video ports are on the sides of the laptop.
The audio cable should go into the headphone jack of the laptop.

What tv cables work with HP 6510b please?

You will need standard HDMI only if your laptop have HDMI port. I think hp 6510b not include HDMI port. It has VGA and SVEDIO Output. Your toshiba TV have many PC INPUT Ports such as
S-Vedio, D-sub , VGA like old Desktop PC connection with Projector). So buy VGA cable or S-vedio Cable, then you can connect.

What cables do i need to set my toshiba regza 46fx355 as a pc monitor i can get pic with vga but no sound

VGA is for carrying the video signal only. You will needa 3.5mm to 3.5mm stereo plug to get sound output through the tv. Connect one end of the plug to the audio output port of the pc and the other end into the headphones jack on your tv and walla!
Here's the plug I am referring to. You can probably get one at your local computer store.

Dear Sir, We have Toshiba REGZA 24PB1E LCD TV. I want to test our Gigabyte PC GA-G41M-Combo MB with VGA port (15 Pin Connector) Pls let us know how to connect & get the solution ASAP. For...

Hello

With either the PC IN or HDMI connection, you can watch

your computer's display on the TV and hear the sound from the
TV's speakers.

When connecting a PC to the PC IN terminal on the TV, use an
analog RGB (15-pin) computer cable and a PC audio cable.

To use a PC, set the monitor output resolution on the PC

before connecting it to the TV. The following signals can be
displayed:

Format Resolution V. Frequency

VGA 640 × 480 60Hz

SVGA 800 × 600 60Hz
XGA 1024 × 768 60Hz

Other formats or non-standard signals will not be displayed

correctly.

Note:

The PC audio input terminals on the TV are shared with the
HDMI-1 analog audio input terminals
Some PC models cannot be connected to this TV.
OK.

Want to connect laptop to tv?

If you are using a LCD/TFT tv it will have HDMI and VGA inputs.
You only need a simple vga lead but this only transfers video not sound.
You can get a usb to hdmi lead, you can also plug in audio leads from your headphone socket and this will transfer video and audio.

How do i connect a dell latitude 610 to a mitsubishi tv (has RCA inputs) I think thats what you call the red/white/yellow things? Sorry I just don't know anything about this.

Usually if you want to connect your laptop to a Tv/Lcd you will need to have a vga cable, because your laptop has a vga port only. If your tv has rca inputs only, you need to get a vga to rca cable. you can get that from a local electronic shop.
