Question about Panasonic Televison & Video

2 Answers

I have a Sony TV Modal #KDF-E50A10 and a Panasonic dvd-vidoe recorder Modal#DMR-E75V. Ever since the switch from analog to digital TV reception, I have been unable to record any programs from the TV onto tape or DVD. I have a TV antenna, not cable. The reason being, I cant program 3 numbers on the recorder. Like 11.1 or 48.1, only 11 or 48. Can you help me?

I think set up #2 will work. However I need some answers. Under "supplies" in set up #2 the instructions read "you will need an analog TV." My Sony TV is Digital already. Does this make a difference in this setup? When digital TV came into being a year ago, people bought analog to digital converter boxes. Is a digital to analog converter box just the reversal of this? Will I still be getting the better digital reception when I tape from the TV?

My second question was not answered yet. Did you get it?

If you set it up the right way you can record whatever channel you are watching on your vcr. Here is the set up guide for doing it:

How do you re-tune the panasonic DMR E85H DVD Recorder. I have done exactly as it says in the manual and still it does not find any channels? Is it digital?

The tuner in the DMR-58H is a NTSC tuner (analog). Unless you have a low power station in your area, you will need a digital-to-analog converter box to record OTA stations. It can record analog cable without a box as well. (Digital cable will require a box.)

The manual for the DMR-E85H is available from Panasonic here: http://service.us.panasonic.com/OPERMANPDF/DMRE85H.pdf .

I hope this helps.

(at least in my area there is only one station broadcasting an analog signal; it is a low-power transmitter and thus wasn't required to upgrade to digital with the rest of the stations.)

I have the DVD/VHS recorder/player Panasonic Model DMR-E75V, I have connected the 2 scart cables to the digital decoder and TV set but I cannot record even if I can play the VHSs and DVDs normally. It's a...

First of all you have to connect only one SCART cable ( one end to TV and the other to DMR ).When you are watching a program on TV select the DMR source ( input selector ) to SCART. Just press the record button with a blank DVD inside and it will record. Some Digital broadcast might have copy protect content which will prevent the recording from happening.

Did you finalize the disc? You must do this on the recorder you made it on and then it will play on other players.

Record a digital channel while watching and analog channel

Take a red, white, and yellow AV cable and plug it from the AV out of the cable box to the red, white, and yellow In of the dvd recorder (change cable box to the channel you want to record). Then change your TV to the channel you want to view.

Have fun!
