Question about Samsung Heating & Cooling

1 Answer

I could not make my aircon work. When i turned it on using the remote control, the operation and timer light will blink together. The fan would not spin. No matter how many times i've turned it off and on, it stays the same.

The problem is on electronic control units in the indoor air conditioner, there are two temperature sensors, sensor pipe evaporator and room temperature sensor. one or both of these sensors is defective, so that electronic controller error and showed signs of a green and yellow light flashes. You must replace both sensors with a new and appropriate size (specification).

Hi Tania,
Have you gone through this checking sequence.? it's from a Panasonic a/c manual. It could be something as simple as a clogged filter. Once you have rectified the fault, you will probably have to clear the fault code as described at bottom below, before it will condescend to work again.

FROM THE AIRWELL RC-4 REMOTE CONTROL MANUAL

NOTE THE COMMENT ABOUT THE RESET AND THE SIMULTANEOUS SELECTION OF THE + - SET and CLEAR BUTTONS to effect a reset after replacingg batteries

HOW TO INSTALL BATTERIES Remove the lid in the rear part of the remote control unit.
Insert two AAA alkaline batteries of 1,5 V-DC. Make sure the batteries point in the direction marked in the battery compartment.
The batteries last about six months. Depending on how much you use the remote control unit. Remove the batteries if you do not use the remote control unit for more than one month. Press the +, -, SET and CLEAR buttons together after batteries replacement.
(This operation allows you to reset correctly all the programs. The remote control unit is to be set up again).Replace the batteries when the remote control unit lamp fails to light, or when the air conditioner does not receive the remote control unit signals.
The batteries of the remote control contain polluted substances exhausted batteries must be disposed according to the laws in force.

I don't know what model my fan is, but it's only 3 years old and suddenly two days ago the light and fan quit working. We replaced the light switch on the wall-nothing. Took apart whatwe could of the fan...

That may be, because you were using the Remote Control to operate it, but then turned off the wall switch instead of turning it off using the Remote Control.

Turn the wall switch back On and try to get the Remote Control to take back over the operation. If that solves your problem, in the future you will know to turn off the fan and lights with the remote, before turning off the wall switch.

Hope this helps solve your problem. My wife had to learn the same way with ours.

While watching tv I touch something on the remote to make the tv go into "on timer" The red light is blinking. I have removed power then on again the remote and tv controls work but after 4...

Check the remote carefully for a stuck button. You may have pressed a button and it went a bit crooked getting stuck.
Also, remove the batteries of the remote and try operating the TV manually. If the remote is the cause, the TV will work correctly once you remove the batteries.
Another way to check is by using a digital camera, like the one in a cell phone. Turn on the camera and point it at the remote. If you see a white light coming from the transmitter, the remote is sending a signal. Look for a stuck button.

Timer light blinking and fan within tv running. TV will not turn on. Timer light continues to blink, what do I do to turn it on?

I don't know if this is the situation with your TV or not. But that set can be locked up in such manner as it cannot be turned on using the parental control features. Below is a link to the operator's manual. I looked at Appendix A which gives instructions for bypassing the lock system on your remote control and on the front controls of the set. It is on page 83. It's very interesting.
I hope this helps you.
Good Luck

FUJITSU SPLIT AIR REMOTE CONTROL PROBLEM

I had a similar problem with only fan air then the blinking lights, found out that mice had got into the circuit board and corroded some connections with their urine. I would try the above solution by turning the power off for ten sec first but remember that you have to leave it for a few minutes before you operate remote.
