To install electric stove ...what is the recommended and required amps number

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR APPLIANCE before beginning any service procedure.
Most of the electric ranges have either a 3 prong or a 4 prong gray electric cord that usually has a 220 plug, follow the color wires and match them to the wiring panel in back of the range. I am not sure on the amps, you may want to check with your local appliance dealer and also the customer’s owner’s manual, so check on the plug in the wall and then purchase the correct plug according to the number of prongs in the outlet and once installed level the range with the leveling legs. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local appliance dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions. You did not give me a brand name or model # so check with the silver tag on the actual appliance and sometimes that will tell you the number of amps.

How do I install a 220 volt outlet using existing wiring?

I would recommend getting an electrician. If you chose not to any mistakes you make can be a safety hazard and possibly kill somebody.

In this area we are required to use a 4 wire connection; Phase, Phase, Neutral (bare or white in the US), Earth (green in the US). You are missing the Earth connection and will need to run a wire back to your electrical panel and connect to the earth bus. Earth and Neutral are connected together at one point in your home. In older systems the Neutral was used for the earth connection as well, this is dangerous if a fault occurs. The Earth may also be called ground as could the Neutral but they are different even though they are connected connected together at one point in your system. If you have an older electrical system and do not have the appropriate Earth connections I would highly recommend hiring an electrician, electricity can cause fires and kill.

No heat from burners or oven after relocating stove

Hi Ron - From what you have described if neither the burners nor oven turns on make sure the electrical connecting is 240V. The oven light and clock portions only required 115V. The clock and oven light working may indicate an electrical circuit breaker supplying the range is tripped or a fuse is blown. Confirm household circuit is correct and the range cord is properly wired to the terminal block.

I have a Frigidaire Professional Series Stove. My red lock light will not go off. When I came down stairs it was on. I locked it & unlocked it and it's still on and my stove will not come on.

I looked up your model number and I would suspect a faulty door lock latch motor switch, part # 316464301.
It can be located my removing the back panel of the stove.

all wall ovens and freestanding stoves require a 50 amp breaker
you need to check the electrical codes in your area but i would use a minimum of 12 gauge wire if not even 10 gauge

Correct wire gauge and circuit breaker to use?

If it is only the oven that is electric and not the entire stove, the required wire size is 10/3 with ground and a 30AMP circuit breaker. If it is the entire stove then you need 50AMP range cable and a 50AMP breaker. If your doing your microwave also, you need a 20AMP breaker and the wire you need is 12/2 with ground.. If the current breaker you were running was 30AMP I would keep that for your oven and run new wire for your microwave.

Electric service requirements

Number 6 wire and a 40-50 amp breaker. Anything smaller will overheat and become a fire hazard, especially at 139 feet.
