Can i use my 21'' Onida tv kit on my 17'' LG crt monitor pictur tube ?

Possible there is a fault in soldering. Poor joints in the CRT base circuit of the CRT tube will result in poor connection after some use due to the fact the heating and cooling will detach off the leads. So use a good soldering iron to touch up all the points in your main board and the CRT board and it must work provided your tube is not faulty.

It sounds like you have lost the vertical sweep circuits, it can be the Vertical out put IC is bad, Vertical yoke winding is bad, caps is bad. You will have to open it up, but you must be real careful since the picture tube can hold high voltage (24~30,000 Volts) for a long time after the monitor is unplugged, you will need to discharge the picture tube first before working on it. You may want to leave this to the pro.

open your monitor and resolder the CRT board. CRT board is a board that attach to picture tube .

it is very simple, by default in monitor circuit RGB (Red, Green, Blue) tube is installed. and in combination of both of three colors we are able to view colorful image. due to non functionalty of Red color u r not able to view red color in screen, either you replace picture tube or purchase new monitor. coz cost of this tube is equal to monitor.

Some reasons for the above problem......
1. Faulty connectors and cable
2. Faulty Picture tube (in case of CRT)
3. Faulty components in monitor's picture tube base circuit board
The same problem will happen when the display section of mothrboard got any complaint

Try these....
1. Try with a new CPU or Monitor and ensure the problem that with Monitor or not
2. If the problem with monitor, try changing the VGA cable

If you are talking about a burned in image on a CRT screen, there is nothing you can do about it, except replace the picture tube, which usually costs much more than to replace the entire monitor.
