C - 1334 Duplex take up print command error. A duplex take up print command is not received for the paper to be taken up from the duplex after the papers has moved past the horizontal transport but before it reaches the transport roller. The number of duplex take up print commands falls short of the number of sheets of paper to be taken up from the duplex or the leading edge of the sheet of paper, for wich a duplex take up print command is yet to be received activates the transport roller sensor. Clean the transport feed rollers and the sensors.Reset the error code using the trouble reset switch and open/close the front door.

Lubricate all gears and shafts inside the machine. There is an idle gear on the top back motor "where the paper comes out" the nylon it is made of shrinks causing the gear to seize on the shaft resulting in jamming. Super glue the fuser output rollers to their shaft. the rubbers on the output roller expand and slip when heated (usually after printing a large document) printing one page then resting/cooling down the problem doesnt occur. the idle roller on the duplex feeder also breaks off.
Check the duplex motor that feeds the reg roller shaft - in the front of the duplex unit. I found one that was loose, when I opened the front duplex cover and moved the motor, the screw fell out! The motor gear and drive gear were not touching. Good luck
You'll want to purchase the service manual for this printer if you do not already have one. Obviously the fan is the most annoying problem. But the jamming, the roller marks, and other issues would indicate that the entire printer is probably needing to be cleaned out and that the rollers may even need to be reconditioned or replaced.
If it?s always in the same spot then you can narrow your search for the problem.
-Look where the leading edge of the paper is getting jammed up for an obstruction, especially if the paper is folded in an accordion fashion. Look closely, I?ve fixed many a paper jam by pulling out a corner of a page stuck in a recess.
-If the paper path is clear then the next thing I would suspect is the paper you are using.
-Try new paper that isn?t bowed, folded or curled. Before inserting into the paper try flex it back and forth along the width and length, then insert making sure to slide the two side guides and the back guide until they fit snugly against the stack of paper.
-Other things to check are the rollers where the leading edge of the paper is getting stuck. Make sure they are clean.
-Also make sure your toner cartridge is inserted into the printer correctly. If you have a spare try using that, sometimes cartridges can drag on the paper.
