Question about GN Netcom GN 2000 STEREO USB HEADSET Headset

Open Question

Hello, I have a windows 7 laptop and a GN 2000. Until 2 days ago, my GN 2000 headset was working fine. I could hear and be heard. Since then, I can still see it in the audio control panel, but there is no sound coming out of it, and I cannot be heard either. As a matter of fact, when I click "Test" to test it, I can see the green bar for the speakers, but cannot hear any sound, and the mic is not detecting my voice. To troubleshoot the issue, I've played with the audio setting (disabling the internal sound card, making it by default again, deleting the GN 2000 in the device manager and rebooting etc...), updating my bios (compaq 6910p), done 4 system restore to come back to a state when it was working. Nothing is doing the trick. Can you please advise and tell me what the next steps can be ? Thanks thousand time, Regards, Estelle PHILOLEAU

SOURCE: Cannot hear anything out of the earpiece of my GN netcom 9120 wireless headset

I was also experiencing the same problem (also after a power failure / storm) -- apparently good battery charge, connections ok, etc. I then tried removing the battery from the headset itself, waited 30 seconds, and then reinstalled the battery. This seems to have resolved the problem.

It is fairly easy to open the clamshell, but you will need a very fine Phillips screwdriver to remove the battery hold-in (it's really not a hold-down, it just keeps the battery in place. Reassemble the same way -- be sure to keep positive to positive and negative to negative.

When im using my netcom headset im able to hear my customers , but they are not able to hear me. What should I do?

If this is a new problem it could be a blocked or broken mucrophone. If it is new and you have never been able to be heard you may either have a faulty unit or perhaps your phone requires you to attach an amplifier between phone and headset. If you google telephone headset compatibility guide look up you phone make and model and see if an amplifier is required when using a corded headset

Hi i am using windows 7 and GN Netcom GN 8110-USB drivers are not getting installed

According to a Jabra Rep, there is a hardware update available that needs to be run on an XP machine, prior to installing the headset on Windows 7.

You can get the link by calling the Jabra Technical Support Team at (866) 697-8757.

I have a gn9120 headset that i love. suddenly, callers are complaining that they can't hear me. Is there volume adjustment or is there a defect?

Hi,
Volume adjustment is made by depressing the two + and - together until beep is heard
once beep is heard press the + button several times until louder bleep is heard this will increase transmission from headset and cure the problem

GN Netcom GN 9120 - can't hear

Hi There, I had the same problem with a headset one of our call centre reps were using. It's usually due to some one fiddling with the button. I got it working by removing the battery from the headset then resinked the headset to the base unit. Hope it works for you
