check with a thermometer and see if it is indeed 16 ..and if there is the value you set ..it means that the room is too big for it ..or it just got old ..and it do not function like it should..but usually this is not a issue that will reflect in the temperature but in power usage ..(consumption).. If the temperature is like you set ..at the exit point it means that it just can not make it out with the space you use it in ...cause it is build for a much smaller enclosure ....If You set it to the minimum value this is all that you can do ..except being sure it is well drained..for the condense ..and that's all..

NewAir AC-14000E not blowing ice cold air

Unfortunately there can be several reasons for your AC-14000E portable air conditioner not cooling well. As with most portable air conditioners the filter grates on the rear of the unit can be removed for cleaning. When those are removed you may be able to clean some portion of condenser coils. There is also the possibility that your portable AC has a refrigerant leak in the system and will not be able to cool effectively without a repair (which usually costs as much as a new portable AC). Portable AC's are not designed to be recharged and operate on a sealed refrigerant line so even finding someone able to repair it may be a challenge. Your best bet is contacting the company you bought it from and talking through some solutions, they most likely have experience with these units and should be able to help you.

THE UNIT BLOWS COOL AIR OUT THE FRONT BUT HOT AIR OUT THE BACK THE MODEL IS aP076E .i DO NOT HAVE A MANUAL BUT IT DOES NOT SEEM TO BE REAL HARD TO RUN THANKS

Yes, that is the way a typical air conditioner works. The portable types need to have the hot discharge air direct outside via flexible hose and an adjustable window bracket. The window closes on the bracket to create a seal, and the hose connects between the air conditioner discharge and the opening in the bracket. This is called "venting". Most portable air conditioners include (or offer as an accessory) a "vent kit" or "window kit".

Some portable air conditioners do not provide a way to vent - fortunately yours appears to have a kit for this purpose. You may wish to check out this page on venting. It has plenty of ideas and suggestions for venting. This site has some very good pictures to document making a vent - and is worth a look, too.

If this was helpful, please rate it "4 thumbs up" - thanks!

Hi MY ECLIPASE ac dUCTED AIR CONDITIONER IS GIVING ME A LOT OF PROBLEM. IT IS NOT COOLING THE HOUSE AT ALL, ESPECIUALLY WHEN I NEED IT MOST, ON A DAY LIKE THIS. THE OUTDOOER COOLING UNIT'S FAN CUTS OFF...

Hi is this a portable model or the ones you mount onto a window? The reason I ask is that Portable ac's with a duct tubing that you stick out the window are not efficient. I bought two models from different manufacturers. They can cool down a small room only. And it wasn't even that great. Please write me back and tell me which type it is... =)
