Re: Plasma TV 50pf7320a
There are several things that can cause it. You are best to
have an expert technician come in and take some test on it in order to
determine if it is from vertical blanking failure or something else. It is not
easy to fix this yourself, if you have no experience, because there are a lot
of parts that have to be removed before you can reach the components. It could
be as simple as a loose connector ribbon or a bust capacitor, but it could also
be more complicated. Hence, in my honest opinion, better get a qualified
Hope that helps!

There is a side socket connection set on your Philips TV. You can connect two audio channels Left and Right and one Video. Connect these socket with an AV cable, and connect the other end of that cable to your SKY HD boxe's respective output sockets. Then select the TV input to AV by going into its menu and surfing through it. That is all for settings. OK
This is know as the" Blue Haze" defect. A tech may try to lower the screen voltages for you. Realign Ve, 110volts to 100volts. Vset from 195volts to 188volts...and the Vs from 197volts to 190volts. This was an authorized fix early in 2007. But more importantly you will have to live with this, as replacing the plasma screen is very costly. You probably have a bad screen.....SORRY!!!!!!
Unfortunately, i have found in my experience is when this problem occours you need to replace the plasma panel, which can be a costly thing to do and takes a little bit of planned time. Other than that you can try to replace the X-sus printed circuit board or the Y-sus printed circuit board. Those two boards control the screen circuitry, Good Luck.
This model has PiP (Picture In Picture), find the button on the remote or check manual, this mode is most likely turned on and is being shared with one of the AV channels, or try turning on a plugged in SCART device to see if this picture shows on the other half of screen.
Commonly it's going to be a power supply related problem. The two boards that need to be looked at is the Main Power Supply Board or the power supply board for the screen. The one that powers the screen, some manufactures call it a Backlight Inverter Board.
If you have some electronic experience, you can sometimes find a Service Manual for the TV over the internet for less than $20. It will have the all resource material for repairing your TV model. It's just the matter of replacing the bad part on the circuit board.
Using your TV's remote control press the right cursor button three times
and it will adjust the Screen to the right and the green line will
disappear. Use the left button if your green line is on the left.

Ok first i have to ask when u turn sound off on TV and get close to the TV does it make a buzzing noise ? If so u have a damaged Plasma panel .
If this is not the problem you could have a bad logic or y-main (most common problem) will need to perform a white screen test on the plasma panel to verify this is the problem.
This is what u need to do
1. Remove the back panel of the TV.
2. Remove the Small Signal Board bracket ( the two long bars on back of the plasma panel, the bracket that is connecting the two with SSB on it, remove this and disconnect the connectors to the power supply (CN1M02,CN1M03, CN1M45)except for the main power plug in you will still need this)
3. Once u remove the SSB bracket you should see a plasma panel resembling pic 1.
4. Place a jumper wire or connect the two pins (CN 2012) on the logic board located underneath the SSB bracket.
5. Also place jumpers on the power supply (J8003 and J8004)
6. Now plug in the power supply, U should hear the relays click and after 5-10 sec you should see a green led on power supply, and 2 green leds on logic board 1 will be solid and 1 will flash.
With this set up you should get a white screen on your TV this will let you know if the panel is bad or not.
Also forgot to ask have u had this TV worked on recently or this just happen for no reason.
