Is there a program you would recommend for capturing pictures off my sony camera (8 yrs old) & grabbing them from the 3 different programs I have on my Gateway xp. I would like to have just one photo program. I am not sure how I ended up spread between 3 different programs. Thanks Sharron

Do you mean a program to download pictures from your camera to the computer? Windows should be able to view your camera as an external drive and you could just drag/drop from the camera to the computer.

Can't you just uninstall 2 of the programs and keep the one you prefer? If the program you prefer does not see all of your photos (the ones already on your computer), you must see where the program you like stores photos, and then move the photos from wherever they are, into that folder.

When i was taking picture the lens of my camera ( sony dsc-w120) become blurd. why'?

The cameras capacity to capture motion pictures is disimpressionful. Usually cameras have feature functionalities either as still picture shoot or motion video recorder devices. Cameras may have any once of the mentioned features or both as complementary for videographic requriements. Inspecte the camera for capacity to capture motion picturee. Usually, the lense capacity with pixel capacities are indication of extensive capabilities. An impressionful camera producign disintergral result requries adjusting the lense or pixles buttons prior to photo shut. Also, cameras that least have the pixel capacity requires photo shoots at still motion or at calm climate least onbracting activities. Capture pictures at areas that least have movement caused by human interfernce or windy or suny blurs. Also, capture pictures maybe retored of blurry filming from computer photo video editor programs. How do i load video from my cam corder to my laptop

You need to purchase a Firewire (also known as a 1394) cable. Make sure the connector on the camera end is the small connector and the connector on the computer end is the large connector. Monoprice is a great place to get cables. Here is a link to the cable you want:

4P to 6P Firewire (1394) Cable

You then need to use "capture" software do actually capture the Digital 8 tapes. This is built into most editing programs, like Studio (from Pinnacle). There is also a really good shareware capture program called Scenalyzer:

Scenalyzer Web Site

that I highly recommend. Once you have the cable and the capture software, you will be able to transfer the video. Digital 8 video will consume 13 GBytes of hard drive space for each hour of video. You then edit this, and when you are finished, you "render" the result to MPEG-2 to make a DVD, or to MP4 if you want to upload to YouTube.

Hi, I am having Sony DCR TRV22E Camcorder, and installing the driver given with it on Windows 7, but the driver given in the CD is not allowed to install on Windows 7 OS, what is the solution for this ?...

You don't need to install a driver. You should be able to connect the camcorder, using a Firewire/1394 cable, and Windows 7 should recognize it. All versions of Windows since Windows 98 can recognize DV video camcorders. I have a very similar (although USA version) Sony camcorder and I have connected it to over a dozen different Windows computers without ever installing a driver.

Now, while you don't need a driver, you DO need a capture program (an application) to actually do the video capture. Most versions of Windows include

Windows Movie Maker

and this can be used to do the capture. I also highly recommend the shareware program called:

Scenalyzer

which you can download and try for free.

Windows Vits driver for sony trv-265e

You shouldn't need one. You will need a program to capture video to your computer such as Pinnacle Studio. Once the software is installed you simply plug your computer in and turn it on. The drivers will install and the Studio program will execute. Then go to the capture portion of the program to copy the video to your hard drive.

It's software controlled in Windows getting a driver won't suffice getting the job done.

Can't Detect Camera

I've never heard of that program before but I know Pinnacle Studio will capture with that camera.

You might want to reinstall picture package but if it came with the camera chances are, it may be an incomplete program requiring a purchase to use.

HI I INSTALL THE GIGICAM DRIVERS BUT MY 26379 WONT

try another USB port, on the back of the computer. My fromt ones are low power and dont work on half of my devices! Also, reboot the PC when the camera is plugged in, maybe itll pick it up. The camera may be drive mode and not picture mode. I have seen some strange things on 3rd party cameras. My Sony DSC-30 puts all videos in a folder that Picasa never sees, or deletes. I found a 2 year old video in there when I was looking around on the memory stick.

Sounds like CCD sensor not working properly ( playback is always fine with images captured properly and sometimes the video will work fine too but 'noisy'image in normal capture mode ) and is a very common problem with this model. You are fortunate though because Sony replaces the faulty sensor free of charge, so phone them and inquire.

Bad capture from dv camcorder

I found a capture program called scene analyzer that seems to capture well but it still looks bad after being burned to cd. I read about interlacing possibly causing this problem and software to correct it. I already bought cyberlink power director for $80 and was wondering why they would not include deinterlacing software in their product?
