Hi,
I had the same problem and finally i solved it. I don't have English Windows (Win7) so some phrases could be inaccurate.
1) When the mouse is found in the Add Device Dialog, use your touchpad or keyboard (use TAB and arrows to select and SHIFT F10 shortcut for rightclick) to rightclick on the device image and hit properties.
2) Tick "Drivers for keyboard or mouse (HID)" and then press apply and ok. Driver will be updated and your mouse should work now.

I hope this will help you, bye Vlada

It is important that MOUSE is TURNED OFF, first time it is installed, so TURN OFF COMPUTER and MOUSE
Start Windows 7, if you have Gigabyte mouse reported in devices, remove it.
TURN ON mouse, blue led will start blinking, after a while windows will find it. Confirm Gigabyte Btooth mouse, click next, Windows will install driver, and mouse is operational (blue led is not blinking).
Turn off computer, (mouse blue led should not be blinking)
Turn on computer again, and mouse should be operational in log in screen.

How do I use mouse instead of touchscreen on Samsung laptop

Do you have a mouse connected by cable or a USB dongle? If so, then your computer's Plug and Plug (PnP) capability to detect, install and activate peripheral device drivers will have recognize the mouse and made it accessible to you. If the mouse in not usable, look in Start, Computer, System Properties, Device Manager, Mice (etc.). If you have a Yellow Triangle, click on the mouse then the Driver Tab to Update the driver. This should solve you problem. You may have to Restart to gain access. If that doesn't work. Unplug the mouse connection, Restart the computer, then plug the mouse connection in again. Watch to see if PnP detects the connection and installs it.

Bluetooth mouse will show up on the computer but when I click to connect it fails

Most of the Bluetooth mouse is a Plug-and-Play device. Just put the USB nanoreceiver in your laptop/desktop then turn on the mouse and your done.
The common problem in a bluetooth connection is when the receiver (nanoreceiver) cant receive the signal from the transmitter (mouse).
Try to replace the battery/s of your mouse and connect your receiver. Check your device manager if your mouse will recognize.

we dont do Samsung here, its HP

its a wireless mouse right, you left only small hint.
battery powered wireless mouse ,.by HP
windows 7
wireless mouse, HP and Samsung.
that takes 2 working drivers to make that work. both HP
the USB side and the mouse side.
HP does not support this on non HP computers so windows 7 is the only hope, MICROSOFT PLUG AN PLAY
you must be connected to the internet or its all just a wasted of time,
do so.
then plug both those things in.
the PC goes Dingdog sound telling you its found a new USB device.called wireless mouse HP, (no model stated)
then tries to find a driver on the web, MS servers for that.
if it can find one, then good luck, doing that. as the HP drivers will not like your PC

I have purchased a Steel Series 3GC usb gaming controller, and every time I connect it my computer will not recognize the device. I have downloaded and installed the driver that they have listed on their...

Well, this is puzzling because all the drivers on the Steel Series 3GC site are for Windows 7 or above. The site doesn't even list the model you just purchased nor the 3.7 version of driver (which appears to be available from Softpedia rather than Steel.) 3.7 purportedly works for XP but I have seen advice suggesting that no devices other than keyboard and mouse ought to be connected to the USB ports during its installation. Uninstall the driver, reboot, install the driver again without the device being connected. I would even reboot it then, before connecting the controller. Perhaps subsequent connection of the controller will be recognized. Go into Device Manager and see if it is then recognized in the USB listings. If there is no exclamation point there beside the driver, you may have gotten lucky.

GE Wireless "Malfunction" "Unknown Device"

Does the mouse and/or keyboard have a "connect" button on the bottom of either? Try restarting your PC, then, if you have installed new batteries, and the mouse/keyboard is still not connected, try the "Connect" button if any.

USB device not recognized

Got the easiest solution to the problem. It worked for me, hope it helps all of you too.

First of all, if the device is unrecognizable, go to Device Manager and remove (not disable) the device. After doing so, remove the USB connector from the port.

Next, go to
http://www.logitech.com/en-my/support-downloads?wt.mc_id=usym_redirect_/index/downloads, and look for your mouse/keyboard etc model. Choose the one that you own and choose the Software Downloads option. Next, follow the steps and install the Logitech Connection Utility.

Once installed, follow the steps given and hopefully your device should be reconnected once again. Hope it helps all the best!

Usb device not recognize

You mentioned that you uninstalled the unknown device from the Device manager. If you uninstall it then connected your usb flash drive you will see an error again on your device manager. This means that the driver for your usb port is not properly installed.

To install it, visit dell website, look for the model of your machine and locate the driver, download it then install from your machine.

The green LED on this reciever is also a button. Press the LED on the reciever with a small blunt object (pencil will work) and then press the "connect" button on the bottom of the mouse. The green LED should come on, and restore the connection between the reciever and the mouse.
