May be your browser or lan setting is set to use proxy server.

to check or to configure this go to control panel | internet option | connections | LAN setting | uncheck the proxy server.

Trying to access my gmail but my husband's always pops up.

When his pops up, it does by default. To get to yours, you need to sign him out and the sign yourself in. I'm certain he has the box checked to remember password. You may do the same with yours. It does go back to whomever s name the computer is set up with. Good luck

How to Chang the password of wlan

With most wireless routers you can go to their default IP address in your web browser. Open up Firefox, Internet Explorer, or the browser of your choosing and type in to the URL bar:

192.168.0.1

This is the most common IP address for wireless routers and should bring you to the wlan's configuration page. Enter your wireless routers default password and then look around in the configuration for where you can change your password (usually on the first page that pops up).

If you can tell me the exact WLAN you have, I can further assist you and tell you exactly where in that configuration page you can change your password.

Please be sure to be connected to your wireless router before attempting to navigate to 192.168.0.1 as this method will not work if you're connected to another network!

I was checking my mail through Internet Explorer....when I clicked on sign in, another screen name in addition to the one I was signing in with popped up and both had my password remembered. I don't want...

What email service are you using? Did you look at the options available on the sign in page? Normally, there is a box you can check to "remember my password" and unchecking i will erase the stored password.

Netgear WGR614

First thing I did with my Netgear is this.
Plug in the dsl/cable modem to the PC directly. Then install the driver on the cd. If you are one of the unlucky types like I was, the router didn't come with a cd. Try going to Netgers page see if they have a driver. Most are basically auto install. Try this before you check the netgear site though. Plug in the cable/dsl modem to the router and the pc to the router. Resstart everything. This includes the modem, router and pc. When it pops back up, try seeing if that works. if not, try opening up Internet explorer. Type this in to the url. 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.0
That should bring up the netgear setup page for the router. If it ask for a password, the password on mine was
username - admin
password - password
It has an auto configure tab so click on that and that should automatically take care of everything for you. Let me know what happens!

Iternet Wont Work

Well you see, the way that the telus internet connection works is by using something called a MAC address for access to the internet. That page that you are getting is the login page for your internet configuration, you need to login to that page with your telus ID it should start with something like A5A and password. Then click on "Manual Registration and Administration of PC's and Devices" if both fields are filled in delete one of them. On the bottom of your router there is a sticker with your serial number, right below that it should say "MAC ID:" enter what follow that into the field on the telus site. and you should not have any more problems after that.
