Hello

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel after dropping it. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair center for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

Hope the advise is useful.

Regards
Andrea

Visio E3D420VX Remote Control Does Not Work

If the remotes have been tested and ruled out and do not work at even very close range to the set I would suspect the remote receiver in the set is bad---

It is of course inside the set but has to be up front somewhere with a lens--not very large.

Understand that both the remote and the front buttons(or side) both go to the same place inside the set with the manual ones having priority over the remote===remote signal is infrared and is translated inside the set---both that signal and the buttons go to the microprocessor which does the actual work.

If remotes are good something between the lens on the receiver and the micro is bad, the receiver is the common failing point. Not really a lot of parts from where the signal comes in until the micro.

The camera turns off an on everytime you take a picture.the lens goes in and comes back out.

hi,first try to reset the your camera to default setting if the problem still occur you need to send to service center to request for repair. but if you have knowdelge to repair electronics what you need to do is to open the camera and seperate the lens unit.you need to adjust mechanically the gear inside of the lens.if the problem still occur you need to replace the lens unit or the damage parts like gear that yound inside.

thank you

My phone is tuck in "silent mode", and i dont even...

You don't mention what brand of phone you have, but for several Nokia models and Motorolla models, if you press and hold the # key, it will toggle between normal and silent modes.

Also how do you reset the set after you install a bulb

If you really want to clean the lens then take the screws out from around the frame. The screens comes forward and the lens would be sitting in the middle. be extremely careful not to scratch the lens at the same time clean the back mirror and the inner screen. thats it.

Now, I hope that works for you because when a JVC HD-ILA starts blotching is because there is build up inside the lens and there is no way to clean that. to get rid of this problem is to replace the light engine which is super expensive.

Good luck. you can either follow-up here or email us @ support@cats-inc.us

CoolPix L 18 Problem

It probably can be fixed if you can get to them. Most cameras' lens assemblies are replaced as a unit when they go bad, it's just not cost effective to spend the time to tediously take them apart, repair the problem, and reassemble. You sound pretty mechanically inclined to have fixed the gears, so I would say you could probably pull this off if you try. Good luck, it's not what most people should try at home!

COMING ON BUT SWITCHING OFF WITHIN SECONDS EVEN

You may check whether your lens is popped out or not. If your lens is keep popped out then there are chances that your Shuttle is locked inside the camera.
Solution is need to replace the Shuttle, and it may possible that you gently (accidentaly) pushed/press the lens.

Nikon D200 images not sharp

Your camera settings may be off. The D200 is very flexible when it comes to personalizing your settings, but they can be hard to navigate.
Try resetting using the built in reset feature. This will not affect your personal settings but may clear any unwanted changes. To do this, find the "QUAL and +/- " buttons on the top of the camera. Hold them both down for a few seconds. The top LCD blinks then the camera is reset.
This resets things like resolution, White balance and ISO settings.

Next, try setting your metering matrix to the middle position. Not the top and certainly not the bottom postion. This switch is located on the right side of the view finder.

If your lens has a "M/A - M", use the M/A setting.

There are three settings for focus. C, S, and M, located on the front of the camera next to the lens. Set your camera focus to "S". This will set it up for still subjects and prevent the sensors from tracking things that move. Also set on the AF area mode switch on the back of the D200.

Try these settings. If your images are still out of focus, you may have other issues that may require servicing by an authorized Nikon facility.

Nikon D50. Stops shooting at about 49/50 pictures. Refuses to take more.

Try removing batteries for two minutes and replacing SD card.
