This is not a solution. This is a commentary on someone elses experience. Am i paying for you to search blogs or do you have real knowledge of my machines issues? If not please advise so I can look elsewhere.

A web blog mentioned contacting them in case the unit wouldn't prime (bad heating element, possibly). Here is their support page:
http://www.saecosupport.com/
I didn't notice any easy way to contact them, so you might try to call the number in the manual that came with it.
Here are some helpful websites, with tips on maintaining, cleaning, etc.:

Here is an excerpt from Associatedspecie.blog, and your problem, it sounds like:

5.0 A "one" star is way too high but it's as low as I can go. I purchased this machine on the referral by the retailer who said it was such a reliable workhorse. This was not our experience. The first machine would not prime correctly. I called the manufacturer only to be put on hold for 45 minutes and then, after spending all that time waiting, a message came on and said that they were closed for the day and to call back tomorrow! I left a message on their voice mail explaining the problem. I never heard back from them and that was over 3 weeks ago. Then the frothing mechanism was extremely cumbersome and messy, resulting in spilled water and milk all over. I quickly learned the only way to get the froth was to do it manually. We returned the machine to the seller without a problem and they ordered us a new one thinking that this was just an quirk and surely we wouldn't have the same problem twice. You know what's coming... yes, while it was much better, the priming button was undependable, and of course the cumbersome frothing design was still a mess. There has to be an easier way to get a decent latte without having to wipe down all the counters and walls! This is not the stategy I would like to use to keep a clean kitchen! We have returned this user-unfriendly devise and have purchased one that is known to be reliable, user-friendly, and the reviews are pretty excellent. Plus, it is way less $$. It is the Krups XP4030. We shall see... its blink and blink..... 3 / 5.0 This is my third machine so I am pretty familiar with the home espresso machines.

Contact them, and see what they say, then go from there. Hope it's just a simple problem, and good luck.

Giro plus - red light flashes rapidly, tried priming with no success. Anyone have any answers?

Have you tried draining off some back-pressure. That often is what the rapid flash means. Try pushing the hot water button then opening the steam valve. A few seconds after the pump comes on to push water out, the red light should go off. If it takes more than a few seconds, that's probably not the problem. hope this helps.

Saeco vienna plus red solid light cannot prime water line

Make certain the line from the water resource is cleaned and not obstructed. If the pump fails to move the water from the reservoir to the heating tank, then the pump needs to be replaced.

Does anybody know how to get rid of flashing red exclamation light on my gaggia platinum vogue?

It does not need to be descaled as this is not the descaling indicator...The water circuit needs to be primed. Turn the knob to the water drop and drain water into a bowl. Hold the water drop button down while this is happening until the red light turns green. Presto.

Hello The lights on the front of the machine wont stop flashing so I can't press the cup symbols to make coffee. The hot water is coming out though through the steamer spout. Thanks!

Circuit Priming
When the machine operates for the first time and when
all the water has been dispensed, the machine circuit
needs priming. In this case, the 4 buttons of the control
panel will flash at the same time.
• Press the ON/OFF button . The 4 buttons will
flash.
• Place a container under the cappuccinatore.
• Open the "hot water/steam" knob by turning
it anticlockwise.
• Press the hot water button.
• Wait for water dispensing to stop.
• Close the "hot water/steam" knob by turning it
clockwise. Remove the container.
When the first priming ends, the warming up
starts. Before brewing coffee, water and steam,
please wait for lights 15 and 16 to be permanently on.
The machine is now ready to brew coffee and dispense
steam. Please see related sections for operating details.
Note: if priming is not completed, the 4 buttons
will keep on fl ashing. The machine cannot be
used.

Flashing lights on my saeco italia espresso machine

I had the same problem, two green flashing lights with one red (water) all 3 would just keep flashing and not turn solid. No coffee can be made or hot water. I could not pump prime. The problem was the steam wand was blocked with old milk residue. It needs unblocking or you will never pump prime. I could not unscrew the steam wand...so I let it sink in a glass full of hot water for a few minutes and then turned the water knob counter clockwise to push out the softened residue. After that, everything was good. When water started flowing out of the steam wand, the red light turned off and the green lights turned solid. The obvious answer to why you can't pump prime is there is a blockage somewhere and best to start with the steam wand. --Mabada

Load the circuit

Hi
It means you need to prime the lines. Push the button for water, then open the knob on the right. When water starts to flow the red light should disappear, and start to warm up. If the red light doesn't disappear, you may have a restriction in the flow meter, or intake line.

You can't manually reset. The machine will have to do it. I had the same problem, two green flashing lights with one red (water) all 3 would just keep flashing and not turn solid.
