Question about Denon AVR-3200 Receiver

1 Answer

I have a Denon AVR 3200 that I'd like to just use as a stereo receiver/amp. I have three questions: 1) which speaker output should I plug my speakers into if I am only going to use 2 speakers ( ie: just for listening as a stereo, not surround sound for dvds or anything) and 2) there seems to be nothing coming out of the left channels at all; is there a way to change the balance? There doesn't seem to be a knob for balance on the unit at all. and finally 3) does anyone have a manual for this unit in pdf form they wouldn't mind sharing with me? thanks!

1) attach to front left and right or A left and right.
2) change balance by adjusting speaker levels
3) goto http://www.usa.denon.com

    Thanks for the help.
I can't seem to figure out how to change the speaker levels though.
I have the unit and remote, but no manual.
On the Denon site, they have archived manuals for almost every model EXCEPT the 3200!
    just my luck:)

Denton receiver shuts off when there is a loud sound from the show

Your Denon receiver may be going into overload, which comes from playing it too long, and too loud. Try reducing the volume to 1/2 your normal level. If you still have issues or questions, please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. Thank you.

the unit is ok. User manual on page 42 says that the digital sources can not be output trough multisource output.
Try to use VCR-1 VCR-2 audio output jacks instead.

Denon avr-3200

Check a few things first to narrow this down a bit. Disable the surround processing. If this clears up that channel, then the problem is in the processing area. If the static remains, vary the volume. Does the static change volume too? If so, then the problem is in the beginning stages of the pre-amp section and is likely a transistor or two breaking down. The parts for this would be in the $5 range. This would probably be considered a "major' repair becaue of the time required to hunt down the defective part.

Denon AVF988 to power amp to whole house speakers

jbell302, Check both remote spkers for operation from the A spks output if good, switch B remote spks to A main connect & main A spks to the B remote connection on the Denon spks outputs . Most amp sources do not like different ohm spks types & different cable or spks A-B. lenghts, because this makes up to resistances problems, making the amp to work harder & understanding what is going on. THE AMPS PROTECTION CIRCUIT IS AT ALERT & TRIES TO BALANCE THE RESISTANCE VOLUME. Best move is to try use the same spks. lenght & a higher qauge wire; 12.14.18qa. to better balance the output volume! All matching spks. pairs would help alot as well!

No sound from Sub.... from my Denon AVR-2700, not AVR-3300, Yeah its old!

if the subwoofer is on in the reciecer settings then maybe the amp is not getting the signal or the amp is not amplifying
try unplugging the output of the sub then turn off the reciever for a min. then turn it on wait , then plug the sub in
if that don't work then test the sub output with a stereo that has a audio input
also test the subwoofer with a audio output to it( only a positive and a negitive wire for sub)

NO SUB OUTPUT

go into the settings and set ALL speakers to SMALL even if they're big and leave them that way.
Then, in the screen, say YES to sub.
